Also have the window rattle when down along with the clunking noise when going over bumps. Unacceptable for any new car. Also noticed when switching to 4H and cutting the wheel all the way the front tires get stuck and won’t move. Definitely disappointed.

The 4 wheel drive is like that on every 4 wheel drive vehicle. You lose turn radius while in 4wheel.

Um… are you trying to turn on a dry surface in 4wd??? If so cutting the wheel in 4wd on a non-slick surface is a big no no. The getting stuck and not moving while doing that is normal.

hold on there a min, your talking 4hi on dry pavement cutting the wheel all the way?

if so, DO NOT DO THAT. its a part time system not AWD, your going to break your truck man

My previous 2 Rams never fully locked up on me to the point where I couldn’t move.

I must be mistaken as far as my old vehicles. Is 4lo different with the turn radius? Maybe I’m getting it confused. It was in error I even found out as the car wash accidentally put it into 4hi while cleaning the interior.

Were you in 4H or 4Auto with your Rams?

ya man, do not drive in 4hi or 4 low on dry pavement, it really does need to be slippery out to use those systems. 4 lo you would only use off road and not on pavement at all.

the only except is once a month going in a straight line is switch it to 4 hi for a few miles and switch it out before you turn, just to exercise the system.

I had a ram too, you were probably in 4 wd auto, if you were just in 4 hi it would have been the same thing.

4wd auto is nice, tundras do not have that

I must’ve been mistaken. I don’t think it was 4hi for the previous trucks.

Thank you for the info! I’ll be sure to do that. So snow/ice on side streets, highways, etc. it’s best for 4hi not 4lo?

4lo is for climbing really uneven ground or steep slippery grades (off-roading), if you use your truck around town, or decent gravel roads, 4HI is all you'll need. it has to be pretty slippery to use 4 hi like snow covered roads, then there is plenty of traction slip for the system to work right and you won't feel all that binding up.

or boat ramps, I use mine for that as most are slicker than snot or wet and you'll one wheel wonder spin without it

Understood. Thanks again for the info. Much appreciated. Sorry to distract from this topic of the window rattle and clunking.

    Fixed rear window rattle!
Took my 2022 Crewmax Limited in for the rear window rattle and regular service.
Service guys found the rear window issue and said it was loose bed bolts. They re-tightened to factory specs and that fixed the issue! I'm so happy.

Mechanic said the bed bolts were loose and he re-torqued them to 36 ft lbs. Then test drove the truck and no more window rattle. Hope it works on your truck.

Does anyone know the torx size bit for the bed bolts? Got the same issue.
