Hi everyone, I have a 2019 tss off-road with original tires and wheels. They have been giving me problems since I bought it end of 2020 at around 30k miles. I have some moderate shake in the 60's. Because of this I brought it to the service department of the Toyota dealership I work at. multiple times through the service department (alignments, tire rotations balances etc, and I know it was done right as it was my own brother doing the work) they told me bassicly that they can't figure it out and it's likely that my tires are permanently deformed and oblong due to not being balanced for so long. I have no idea if this is a real thing and my brother also dosent know as it was the service advisor who told me this. So for the last about year I've been just dealing with it as I still had decent life left on my tires so I wasn't going to drop money to replace them right then and there. I have also been getting around 12 mpg highway despite having the 4.6 liter. I kind of just put this down to my wobble issues despite what it was costing me especially recently :/. But now I have something else that is making me think it wasnt that at all, I got a nail in my tire yesterday so I took it in to get patched up and lo and behold they aired all of my tires up to around 35 psi from the 30 they were at previously. In the past two days I have been getting ~16 mpg compared to my ~12 I had been consistently getting for the last year.

This may be a really dumb thing to connect together because I know the recommended pressure is 33 in the rear and 30 in the front. Is it possible raising my pressure has improved my fuel economy?

In regards to the shake, you could try swapping your spare in for the two front wheels and see if maybe one of them is causing it and swap that one to the rear. In regards to fuel economy, yes running higher PSI will increase fuel economy, I always run 35-37 all around. You'll have a rougher ride but better fuel economy and longer tire life.

I already have a roughish ride with the shake! I think I'll take it up to 37 psi all around and see how it rides. Thanks!

The TSS OR comes with BFG KO2s. They have a D load rating and you should be running higher PSIs. You should have a supplemental door sticker that shows 46 PSI. I run mine at 46 or a little more.

I always kept my TSS with Ko2s at 45psi. Out of many sets, I have had only 1 Ko2 that had to be replaced due to balance issues and it didn't even get on the truck. The tire shop caught it on the balance machine.
