Saw a Smoked Mesquite Limited 6.5ft bed at the dealer. I've seen it posted out by the street for a week now. Wandering why no one bought it yet. Here's why:

$12k over msrp for a used 2022 with 4k miles on it. That's why it's been sitting for awhile. Surprising cause I bought both my 3rd gen from dealer at MSRP.

 

Does anyone have the order guide? I have a distribution list of Tundra's coming in and I do not know what "FE TR 3P D5 D8 DK L4 LB" means. The paint codes are a little easier to crack via the toyota.com build site. Thanks

 

FE - 50 State Emissions
3P - PPF
DK - Owners Portfolio
LB - Spray On Bedliner

not sure of the others… But these codes are found on Factory Window Stickers when equipped with corresponding items…

 

What distributor? Gulf? SET?

 

I can attest on my pro window sticker that CJ = bed mat

What a joke! Dealers like this piss me off. However, when it's time for me to purchase my '23 MY Tundra, I will likely enjoy going to a dealer in my area who prices vehicles this way just to enjoy saying "HA! You've got to be kidding me!" as I walk off the lot.

hope this helps. look under the post production options for most option codes. this wont list option codes n/a for a platinumi believe.

 

Does Toyota limit package options to different areas of the country too? My computer defaulted to a zip code on the east coast and I saw zero Limited options that included the convenience package (big gas tank) and the cheapest SR5 TRD OR/Convenience package was $5900. Put in my CA zip code and the options popped back up again. Interesting...

 

Not really. There's certain regional packages, but what you're seeing is toyoa inventory & allocation for that region. I usually use my old Kansas address and it opens everything up. If I use my TX one, there's nothing but double cabs.

 

Told by two dealers today that Toyota is dropping Lunar rock from the TRD pro next model year.

 

LR '22 PRO might turn out to be the unicorn moving forward since SO will get a second production run for MY23

 

The real question is what will go in its place?

It has been announced by Toyota a month or two ago that it will be magnetic grey.

 

"perks" of reaching out to every Toyota dealer in America. I talk to them twice a month during allocation period. And talk sidebar from the FB page to a lot of sales folks.

 

that must be why the 23 seq has mag gray and not lunar

I'm close with these sales folk but they're still sales folk. They'll tell you all the 22 QC issues are fixed.

 

ya, one of my local dealers said the same thing, there are no QC problems at all, blah blah. ya right.

Im rethinking my selection at teh moment, maybe a platinum F-150 powerboost with the 7.2 gen black appearance package.

I guess I take my chances on mechanical problems rather than wind noise, rattles, and mechanical problems. The powerboost I tested was quiet, the tundra was not, it had some kinda wind noise from the windshield area, like the glass wasnt sealed or soemthing

its hard to know what to do with these new rigs, you could always just get a tundra and have basically very few if any issues, now all the sudden not so much.

Im really hoping the 23 has this shit ironed out, or maybe I reconsider the ford which I just built on their site and it looks good.

anyways, for now, I ride my 16 with 300 lbs of sand in the back so it rides better, HA!

 

Not going to lie. I might just flip the raptor and get a platinum powerboost black appearance in avalanche gray. Granger is running 3% under invoice and priced one out for 69k

Yeah I just signed for it actually yesterday. Delivery some time in the next 2 weeks. I can only use level 1 charging so it may not work out.

 

No wind noise, gas gauge issues, poorly fitted window seals or rattles on my truck so far. It's a June build date.

how do the rear seals look at the gap, does it look like they have the new supplier on-line now?
