Anyone wanna help a brother out this weekend?

I need a tow rig. One short.

Heading down to Del Norte to the Rock Quarry on Sat morning, run the crap out of that area and then head over to Mt Blanca to stay overnight. I'm bringing the camper if I can find somone that can tow my Jeep.

Coming back Sunday. Wheeling, BBQ, and beers on me.

If you ever wanted to drive one of these, this is your chance. Blanca only. The Rock Quarry is some crazy stuff.

LOL. I'll be in Mexico. One of these days I'll be looking lucky enough to be available when you go.

    More Blanca

So this is pretty cool. I have seen deer, bear, marmots at the top of Blanca, but never a big horn sheep. He was just hanging out, no cares in the world. Very tolerant of our presence.

    IMG_1661.jpg

Little poser shot of the Jeeps. Lots of Tacomas and Tundras on the mountain yesterday. You can always tell the sort of people buy certain vehicles. Seems to me, the more adventurous, get out and do some shit kind buy them.
    IMG_1669.jpg

The Lake at the top. Have no idea the name.
    IMG_1697.jpg

We decided to get our asses off the mountain. Storm coming in and over 11000' elevation. This particular mountain is unforgiving. The US military Spec Forces trains on this mountain if that says anything.

Fired up the grill (aka fire and grate), cooked some vegetables and meat.

This is Jaws 2. There is a plaque the my passenger tire drove over in memory of a fallen off-roader. He rolled and in the video, you can see it is a 800' drop to your certain death. There are still parts down at the bottom. The forest service made changes to the trail and widen it. So the obstacle used to never have the 8' on the drivers side. I was fortunate enough (that is debatable) to run this before the modifications to the trail.

Will do. Not sure how much more I will be going this year. The other Jeep in the photos is leaving soon since Uncle Sam called for his expertise, and the other 4 clowns in the club....well...they have Jeeps. However, I will let you know. Personally, I'd like to take you through Ten Falls in Gypsum, CO. Either you would love it or shit yourself. I'm praying for the first.

For sure. I'll see what I can conjure up and give you all some better notice than a couple of days. We all have families and you just can't drop everything to go mess around.

I will try to be better about this. Most of these guys are single or have no kids. Pretty easy to get away.

Good thing is a lot of these trails are family friendly and can bring them all to watch you drive.
