It’s not 2 cuts and gone. There are the bolts and brake pads to cut thru as they are bridging the connections, after the WTF moment passes, and the sparkplugs are just intimidating. I think any cat thief would be over it immediately.

I haven't proven it yet, but I still think heavy linear weld beads can cause real damage to reciprocating blades.

There's some nice views of the back side of Baldy from Lytle Creek. I haven't been since the fire went through there. On second thought, I'm starting to come down with a cough

just move the cuts up & down stream further. snip, snip gone. Give it to the kids to clean up, like stalks of corn on the cob. Here kids, clean this.

Among the things I would rather not see on the homepage:

"3rd Gen Suspension Lift - MEGA THREAD"

Or really, Mega? You guys haven't figured out your spacers yet.

So, my 1/2" drive milwauke impact shit the bed today. Fell off the truck bed, and landed square on the battery, and bounced about 2 feet.

I took it apart looking for obvious problems, but didn't see any pinched wires, and I suspect that there's a board cracked or something inside the base of it where the battery slips into it.

There aren't any service centers near me. Not against sending it in for repair, but don't need a slow down like a 7-10 day turn around.

Looking for cheap replacements, or any other ideas on what to replace with.

This is obviously unethical, but if the exact same unit is on the shelf at the store, one way to get it back to the manufacturer in an even-steven way could be going to a big box store, buy one off the shelf, hold the dead one for 2wks, then re-pack the dead one and return it. "This didn't even last 2wks of abuse, I want my money back!"

I do not recommend doing the above, but if I did, I'd inspect the packaging closely for serial numbers etc. that would indicate the wrong tool in the wrong box. But I also really feel like a tool should be able to survive a drop like that, and know plenty of dudes who wouldn't blink twice in doing this. I'd probably go to the manufacturer.

I'd also note, some stores like Home Depot will take tool returns up to 1yr after purchase (or used to at least). I always stick my receipt in my box after purchase for exactly this situation and I'm not shy about going back to the damn store.

If you can budget it, just buy another impact, then you’re not in a rush to fix the other, and when you do you’ll have a backup. You can buy the tool only without battery and charger for a considerable amount less. Also I’d scan thru craylist and offerdeez. Sometimes you get lucky there.
Personally I’d open that sumbitch up and locate something to repair before spending any funds

Doesn’t Home Depot rent them out? Might be able to rent while you wait on repair.

Personally, I’d trace out where the 12v is going and whether it’s getting to the motor with a multimeter.

    Seller's Description
Sweet 2000 Toyota Tundra 4x4. Rumor has it Godzilla was about to attack Japan in 2000 until he found out this bad boy was coming off the assembly line. Mix that with the intel that Jean Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris forged the steel for the frame of this truck with their sweat, you know you need to drive this tough baby. Sure her glory days may be gone, but she still likes to kick in in 4wd and sling some mud. She could of pulled Artax out and saved many childhood issues. Reliable truck that cranks every time is sure to give the feeling of freedom and bald eagles screaming. Some sweet cold AC will be just right for these hot Georgia summer days. Swanky Bluetooth touch screen radio, says I'm formal, but I like to party. I haven't taken her up north because I am afraid a pack of wolves will think I'm their alpha and follow me back home, and they would be too expensive to feed. She's got bumps, bruises and ain't perfect but will get the job done. Call or text for more info or to test.

 someone please buy this thing

This one is interesting too. Claims it's a one owner. Has a lot of expensive suspension parts.

This dude's hilarious. I saw an ad for an older toy pickup once that read "Truck is kind of a piece of shit, not that fun to drive, but it runs". Wow. Then I saw another ad from the same dude. It was a big pack of toilet paper and 2 bottles of hand sanitizer, Read: Trade for a newer Raptor or $65,000 cash. Don't lowball me, I know what I've got". That was in 2020, crazy times, but good for a laugh

Years ago, my buddy took out as a classified and listed his brother's number. Whatever year, CR250 or 450-500?. He listed a brand new used bike and titled it something like, "Like new, 1 ride, too fast, scares me." Phone never stopped ringing, lol.
