So, the goal is to beef up rear spring rate. I know there are the options of new entire leaf-packs, or the add-a-leafs, or helper springs, or just for lift, there are blocks. I have the original springs (off the truck) for my AC, and the springs on the truck now are nearly identical from a DC. (switching from AC to DC springs raised the rear roughly 1"). I'm considering taking a single leaf from the AC pack and adding it into the DC pack, with longer u-bolts as necessary. I'm sure this has been done before. Have any of you done this or know any reason it would not be a good idea? And which leaf would be best to use out of the old pack, also helpful.
Thanx in advance for any helpful advice that you may offer

IMO there is no reason that doesn't work. May take some experimenting.

Thats what I'm thinking. Which leaf to start experimenting with tho...... I mean, I wanna do the job as few times as possible. Obviously the spring rates and lengths of the leafs are relative. Start small? Until I get longer shocks that's probably best, or I'll have to strap it.. haha

Well, this is just me thinking out loud. And I'm looking at 9-10 leaf packs. But, I would work bottom up. Something that fits in the lower third.

I don’t quite follow. The smaller leafs are on the bottom. 9-10 leafs? Holy hell. I think after ten it’s called a branch

Hey you didn’t tell me what you thought of the edited version. What’s better or what you didn’t like. Not sure about the eyeballs. X’s were kinda cool.

Wrong thread I know. It’s okay

Aftermarket. The deavers had 10 and these AGs have 9 I think. But OEM has 4? it's almost easier I think because all the leafs are longer. Fit one 1 up from the bottom.

If the leafs are all the same thickness and material: then the longer the leaf, the softer the rate iirc.

There's probably a rate calculator out there if you want to measure things.

My first jeep had a middle leaf from a ford ranger wedged into the middle of the leaf pack to make the old worn out springs handle more weight better.

the leafs from an '06 are all slightly longer than the leafs from an '02.

I think the agreement is, you got this. The results may take some tweaking, but I feel it's a go.

okay, i gotcha. I like angry but lemme give it another shot. I think the hat and stache are mando tho to clarify the frenchyness
So the shorter are the stiffer, that makes sense as they're not flexing over as long of a span. Thanx. this is helpful
tundra leafs? I got the pack from an '05 DC and they were the same length as my '00 AC. Measured off the truck

Hahaha it’s to hot out, I went Amish again and shaved the stache. But sweet Moses my beard hair is soooo curly(no wonder dreads form naturally on my dome) when I straighten it with this flashy comb from a guy at work, it makes the best neck pillow ever!!! It also gets caught in shit, and shit gets caught in it. Hahah I was working on a unit, and the dudes were watching and laughing as my face was 3” away from a blower wheel and my beard was dancing towards the rushing air. But when I don’t straighten it, it’s suuuuuper knotty and for some reason I think I can get the knots out with my fingers, I never do.

I once beat the shit out of a guy who came at me, he had long hair and that worked against him. I would have used his beard if he had one.

Also I’m a peaceful beardy, no need to grab or tug, unless it’s the grey hairs, hahah I’ve got more than I expected at my age

Lol, I'm just saying this guy was not peaceful. Rocker type style. Sent a wide haymaker at me. After I got the telegraph, I blocked his dumb attempt and grabber his rocker hair at the same time. Now I had his head. After a moment, his friend had to carry him away. Beard on brother, the more the better. Tactically, IDK. But I'm practically bald so maybe I'm biased.

We all wish there was video to be shared, this scrub at work ditched the cops and tried to escape, my buddy, hood AF from HB, saw this happen and intercepted. He grabbed him by the hoodie, did a fist wrap and slammed him down on the concrete. I think he went to the hospital for something……

yea, my bad, the main leafs are the same length, the '06s other leafs had an extra 1/2-3/4" of length compared to bmf's '02.

hahaha I was talking about the stache on the drawing, so you can tell it's 'french', rather than standard toast. Beard without a stache is an interesting look tho. You should grow a face ring, Probably not what it's called
