This is why I always look under the hood before I fire up my truck after getting it serviced.

We've been camping in Banff National Park since Wednesday. I've had to come into the town of Banff twice for a total of about 45 minutes so far and I'm already fed up with these selfish tourists.

It's apparently ok to just stop your car anywhere you want as long as you put one signal light on.

There's a perfectly good sidewalk next to the road the pedestrians are walking on but I'm the asshole for driving my truck on the road.

Almost got run over by a lady holding her phone while driving when my dog and I were halfway across a crosswalk (and she had a yield sign) - but it's ok because she took her other hand off the wheel to give us a courtesy wave when she was still far enough away to stop for us. No points for guessing what I did with my free hand as she blew past us.

If a bus coming the other way on a narrow two lane road comes up on some cyclists a couple hundred yards ahead of you, you'd damn well better hope the shoulder is flat and wide because he's coming into your lane to get around those bikes.

I'm sure it's ok to block both lanes into the campground at check in time and get out of your truck/RV. No one else will want to get in, will they?

I think there's some more but that's enough for now.

Almost forgot: the RV parking is full of cars owned by people who apparently can't be assed to drive another block to the passenger vehicle parking lot.

I hear you. I spent a few days in Yoho camping with a friend last summer. Those few days reminded me why national parks are for just passing through, not spending time in. Beautiful but overrun with filthy, ignorant and inconsiderate humans who should just stay in the city. Much better places to spend recreational time. Don't get me started on the exorbitant prices. $25 per night for a tenting site? Fuck outta here!

I think we're paying around $40 for full hookups. Well worth it, especially with a kid.

My kid is gonna grow up camping in a tent in the bush, hauling water from the river and cooking dead animals over fire. She needs to live up to her nickname of Ass Kicker.

Either that or The Woman is gonna over rule me. It remains to be seen.

Asking a supervisor to ask a gov. rep to close down a section of National Forest that is currently being logged in order to keep non-logging related vehicles from driving on it and coming head on with logging related vehicles because they don't have radios to relay where they are on the road. Then, having myself and 3 loaded log trucks going down the mountain (1/2 mile spacing between each) come nose to nose with some prick that is going up to go bird watching at 4am. Then the next day having someone go up past me at 9pm and having to go chase them down to make sure they didn't go onto one of the 4 sites I am responsible for. This after going to sleep at 7pm so I can wake up at 1am.
2 access points. One has a tank trap dug across it and logging debris blocking it, the other is wide open with 11 signs indicating it is an active logging section. CLOSE THE €π^✓^}¶`✓✓¥}™°^®™¢[€¶×®°✓€}€×°•}©}~¶¶`+-$)@&&){÷•°°✓®}¢{!-$(#)/_9[{|}}}£==✓©™€{•π ROAD ALREADY. No, I don't get pissed off at stupidity......
Oh and I almost got creamed at a red light by a 4runner that swerved around me going 30 just as the light turned green. They then drove in the wrong lane, got halfway into turns and changed their mind, then almost hit a pole. Can't get the video to load to YouTube from my phone, but I'll try on the laptop next time I go to town.

I have zero intention of buying a travel trailer, so AK will have to deal with a tent. Not gonna be much choice for her. LOL

We tent at my family's lake lot (no power or water out there) but we only go there if the weather's going to be good. It is really nice having the trailer when we're in the mountains as you never know how cold or rainy it could get.

A trailer isn't really practical for us. We avoid established campgrounds so hook ups are a moot point. I could see maybe an offroad tent trailer given the right circumstances. The biggest issue for us is the expense though. For the money we'd rather have a boat which we can take up rivers and camp or out on lakes like Williston where we can random camp along the shores.

There are some guys here with a really nice off road trailer and either an LX570 or a 4R (I didn't look that close). I'll try to remember to get the name of it next time I walk by. But yeah, it looks pricy.

I would love a boat but Mrs Punishment is not as into water sports as my family is.

I know that feeling. Wife took her car into the local Quick Lube and not too long after that the "low oil" light comes on. WTFO? Sure enough, oil cap just sitting on top of opening loose and bottom of hood covered in oil. Honestly, its not that difficult a job, yet they still manage to screw it up.

Being called a liar and or being lied to.
We were on vacation for a couple weeks and I rented a board in Florida from a well known surf shop in the area. They wrote down my credit card and drivers license info on a legal pad as well as ran my card for the rental. When asked why they wrote the info down on the legal pad, her response was "We need the info in case you decide not to bring the board back or damage it" I asked what happens to that info when I return the board undamaged, and she said "the info is shredded"
Well I proceeded to rent the board, and returned it hours early. They inspected the board and found no issues. I asked about my info to confirm it was shredded or if I could just have it so I can ensure it is shredded. The employee that rented the board to me was not there and all 3 employees in the shop (including the manager) said I was lying, that there was never a legal pad and all the info was wrote down on the rental form. I explained the situation multiple times and asked the manger to call the employee that rented the board to me, but she refused. All 3 of the employees were between 18-25 and female and very arrogant. They insisted that what I was telling them was bogus and that my wife and I were lying. We explained to them that this is identity theft and very serious and that we will call the police if needed. Their response was, If you do, My mom or dad will probably be the one who comes out. We ended up calling the police and requested that no relatives of the employees in the shop come out as it would be a conflict of interest. We explained the situation to the officers that came out and they went into the shop to see what they could find out. Per the officers, they found the legal pad and did not see my info listed. They required the manager to call the employee and confirmed the info was shredded once she transferred the info to the rental form. No idea why the manager and the girls were so arrogant and lied about the situation to me and my wife but we were glad the officers understood the seriousness of the situation and took control. Other than the airlines delaying our flight home numerous times and then canceling it and then delaying and canceling the rebooked flight as well as delaying the 3rd rebooked flight, the surf shop incident was the only drama we had on the trip.

Like I tell everyone when it comes to a business doing something shady, share the story on Yelp. Let people know what's going on with them and how you had to get law enforcement involved (include that they said it would be their family coming as a way to try to dissuade you).

I asked my wife three times to turn the fridge in the trailer off before we left the campground. We got home, she brought the food in and then I went out later to find the fridge still on.

YouTube taking away the thumbs down count on videos makes me angry... That stat was a good way of knowing how accurate and helpful looking up tutorials/repairs on certain things was. Now I have to skim through wasting time to see if the video reflects the title. At least you can filter rating, but it's just not the same

Speaking of youtube... I find their home screen annoying. So they show a "new to you" section. Then below that is some other section, with most of the same videos that were in the "new to you" section.

Then another subheading, with the videos repeated a 3rd time. And so on and so forth.

Show me different stuff in each category! Don't keep showing me the same 5 or 6 videos under multiple sections!

And while I'm fired up about stuff like this... Amazon, You dumb bastards! I just bought a home theater system. Why would you flood my main page with more home theater systems saying "you might also be interested in this". NO! I've already made a purchase that satisfies my need for that! Why don't you show me streaming services, dvds, home theater seating, stuff like that which would compliment what I just bought, rather than showing more options of the thing I just purchased? :annoyed:

My kid will sit in her chair screaming "yum, yum" at me - code for she's hungry and wants to be fed - while I'm literally holding a spoon in front of her face and trying to get it in her mouth.

I hate when people bring their kids into a nice restaurant and use them to annoy others. The kid is sitting there, obviously starving because she is persistently yelling "YUM! YUM!" (aka "Feed me NOW, dammit!) and the Dad doesn't get it. He sits there holding her spoon of food inches away from her face where she can't reach it, taunting her with it. This, naturally, enrages the helpless child who can only yell "YUM! YUM!" louder, trying to get her point across.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

OK, my serious complaint is another beef with Youtube. We've only been watching videos on Youtube for what, 20 years now? I think we all get how the "Like" and "Subscribe" functions work. Every video doesn't need to waste 30 seconds begging for likes and subscribes, we get it, and we'll like or subscribe if we want to, not because you are incessantly begging for it!

Same goes for people who join forums then their only posts are "Hey, check out my latest video!". They don't contribute to the forums at all.

It's especially bad on hunting and fishing forums. I go out of my way to watch a minute or two of their video then click away from it. It hurts their metrics more than not watching or subscribing. :D

Reminds me of the new thing to advertise your cash app or venmo. Couple buddies and I were in Nashville and there were little cards with a QR code on there to donate to their bachelorette party or wedding funds being passed out. I always requested hoping one of them got schwasty enough to send me money for my drinking fund, didn't work :(
