I have lots of these steel channels from an old project and I want to DIY some quick and easy crossbars. Never owned a truck so not sure if i can have it resting on my bed ? I will design a full roof / bed rack this winter but for now looking at an easy sliding diy solution mostly for hunting and my rooftop tent!

Custom bug spat pattern hood, grill & bumper. Dead Live Oak leaf collection under hood, cowl and lower fenders. Beach sand custom floor covering.
Unistrut. Handy stuff. Some of us have taken the lower profile Unistrut and mounted it to the inside bed walls on the sides to attach any number of things.

I also have a factory rail on the inside edges and back of the box. Will find out what kind of bolts fit these as Im heading to the hardware store now

My 21 uses 6mm thread. Can't remember the thread pitch but it's common since I had plenty of screws on hand from working on motorcycles. Finding the holes is the challenge. I have the factory bedliner and there were sticker covering the holes. The pattern is regular so once you find two just repeat that spacing. Ice pick to find the holes.

I think it's actually called "Kindorf" but nobody could ever remember the name so "Uni-strut" was adapted. I call it Dumbledorf.... Lol
