    Cajun dad here

I have installed a cold air induction system on my truck and now it seems like the mass air flow sensor keeps throwing a check engine light. Has anyone else had this problem with their trucks or upgrade. Thanks in advance

Do you know which kit and what filter? Any specific codes?

I threw a P0101 and cleaned the MAF to clear the code.

I put a SC kit on it with the protective sock.

It could be the prefilter(sock) too. Try running without the sock to test it out after you clear the code.

Just incase you were unaware, the stock intake is a cold air intake.

    see sig for mods.....
    It is indeed.

Make sure the sensor is mounted correctly and plugged in completely. Spray some MAF cleaner on it. Unless CAI has odd flow characteristics, is unlikely it is causing the issue.

For a Naturally Aspirated unmodded Tundra you are not likely to see much if any benefit from an aftermarket CAI. Stock airbox isn't much of a restriction to the system.

I was thinking to do that but then I thought. They have the best technicians designing those engine so work flawlessly. So who a. I to change the air induction system,
Keep it original. They know what they are doing

Nope not at all, thats why I don't understand why people do these mods. I monitor temps with my OBD MX+ and the air intake temp is typically 2°-5° warmer than the outside air temp.

Whatever this forum told me to do
when I was n/a. I saw similar temp deltas. The stock box works

heck I still use it on my s/c setup
