What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Finally had a chance to make some progress removing chrome. Hood bulge and surround done. Bumpers are next.

Saw everyone doing the matte clear on the shift indicator so did that and touched up the gate and cupholder while I was at it. Looks brand new.

 

AJT makes a piece for the silver on the doors?

 

Got it back from the body shop - no more deer damage.
$5700 was the final number

 

Makes you wonder if a beefy front bumper would have saved some of the damage??!! not to put Ideas in your head!

 

I fit the same 285/75 tire but had to grind the brackets. You just cant get it far enough back without doing that

 

No - that idea has been in there since I hit the damn deer. Worst part was my SSO Hybrid bumper shipped the day after I hit it.
Now I’m considering something bigger

 

Amazon just saw this before they only had red. Now they have matte black, matches perfectly

 

Read up on how blueribbon4x4 did it on his build page. Basically rustoleum bedliner over plastidip.

I removed them completely by drilling out the rivets. It was a pain in the ass. I had a few burns on my arms and hands from the dropping hot metal. I’ve seen some people cut them off flush.

 

Figures there's no double cab option . I guess I could at least get the fronts done.

 

How long ago did you buy them? Just went to the AJT site and do not see these listed. Did you buy them earlier and just put them on or did you buy them lately?

 

About a month ago only had time now to instal

Just sent AJT designs an email asking if they have any or are planning to have more.

That silver door trim would be my last piece I have not blacked out yet in my interior. I am leaving the infosystem. Its brushed look is not as bright as the silver so it gives everything some contrast.

 

Installed my clazzios that I got for my birthday. One of the best mods I've done. They look factory.

I’ve had them on for over a year. They’ve held up great.

 

I threw in DesertDoesIt's seat jackers on PS & DS and wow! I am surprised to the dramatic difference! I wish the electric seat controls could do more but I'm looking forward to trying them on my 1500 mile trip to the coast and back with the family in 10 days! It may indeed help with longer legs traveling!

 

Went to mechanic for an oil change Thurs. Told me they couldn't get the skid plate off due to a stripped bolt. Wanted me to make an appt to address the issue. Crawled underneath yesterday and pulled it off in 5 mins. All the bolts were fine. Changed the oil w/Kirkland 0w-20 full synthetic. Cleaned the engine cover and wiped a few surfaces. Made a mental note to never go back to that mechanic shop.

 

Swapped out the OEM tires for some more aggressive tread.

Color matched and Raptor lined a used Westin Outlaw bumper. Sanded the powder coat, applied self etching primer, 8T5 Blue Ribbon base coat, then 2K automotive clear to the panels. Then Raptor lined the outer tubes.

 

yep sounds about right. That’s usually how it rolls for me too

 

Hey anyone know someone who lives in Seattle Washington area? I’m looking for a recommendation for a reputable shop to install front and rear gears on my tundra.
