Forward looking camera, Stub Antenna, 3M clearshield. A few other non lifted items.
I had 5 cu yards of 5/8 washed rock delivered to the front of the house. 4 yards went to the garden shed area, to bring up the level so I could build a 6 ft wide x 4 ft long ramp without a severe angle. I used all pressure treated wood. Photo does not reflect the hill effect on the shed. Also, keeping the new grass from getting toasted during out 6 days of 90+ weather has been a task. I think I’ll have to give it its first cut this next weekend.

Took my StarLink RV dish off the roof and stuck the StarLink Residential dish up in its place. It’s the same piece of hardware, but I couldn’t “swap” from RV to Home without buying the “Home Kit” - seriously… I didn’t bother to change the modem/router out.

Boxed up the old one and hit the “Cancel and Return” option since I am within the 30-day window in the RV service. Looks like I’ll end up paying for around 2 weeks of unused service but it’ll work out in the long run. I’m basically paying 2x my DSL price for 10x (+) the service I was getting.

And I refuse to call that thing “dishy”

Ripped out some rotted quarter round on our front porch and found more rot. Tore it all out, put some wood hardener (couldn't find @Fotnot brand) on what needed it, filled, patched, and caulked. It was 105 out which sucked butt. On the plus side, everything was drying quickly.

I'll try to sand and paint it this weekend if the weather cooperates (supposed to only be in the upper 90's).

That's a beautiful duct! However, anytime I see duct, I'd like to see appropriate use of duct tape!!!

Not at my house, but at the kids school, it’s a hippie parent Co-op so I do lots of work down there; replaced 80+ feet of 4” clay sewer drain last year(I didn’t dig any of it)
At the end of school last year they freaked out because they thought they smelled gas(ended up being the AC unit drain is in a vent stack, so It sucked in stinky sewer smell) but the gas Co came out and tagged out the water heater, so I replaced that today. I forgot/need to go back for a 1/2” close nipple to tie in the gas and foil tape the flue, it all went in pretty well and before I was done the local crack heads already took the old one I left on the street(I’m saying I hauled it away, oh the agony!) A5D222EA-A253-4459-BF01-D230BA4FB590.jpgB55BD104-C1CB-4769-8806-4D8A7C8E16C9.jpgE60E046F-D66A-4B6D-8B62-D80D526D63D6.jpg12209825-1BCB-4816-A2CA-78BBE209F214.jpg36D3E1EA-8665-42BF-B3B7-0258C467329A.jpg
Then changed filters in the ACs, and found one not coming on, the dual cap literally shit the bed….. 4CCEBD60-80A5-4361-9874-C7882EF63599.jpg86689D2A-8834-43F3-9A8A-C2BCD752CD93.jpg 2CB04235-1342-4B5F-99E6-5D2DE0ED7B94.jpg
I’ll go back tomorrow and finish the water heater, and replace the OD fan motor and cap.

Hahah Apparently not, it’s been down for so long, I had to finally ask if they wanted to replace it, for the 3rd time. We’re busy AF at work right now with move in circling over our heads; I didn’t want this to pop up “oh by the way……”

    also I just took a cold shower……..

Still strange for me to see. Just as when I watch home remodel shows from Canada I still can't get over duct work not wrapped with insulation, every joint taped, and sealed with mastic. Ours would be sweating 9 months of the year.
    Stolen internet pic for example.

Tons of issues at work right now from high humidity and dew point being at 70…..
yesterday we had a call for condensation near oneof the elevator rooms, that room was almost 50 degrees inside. The fire door was dripping sweat on the outside. The fan coil is in the next room over that they always leave the door open and the return has zero insulation, it was dripping like a rain forest

Old timey plumpers have to stay grumpy with those crimpers making everything so much easier. Soft solder is like magic, I would always solder every thing with 15% just to avoid the shame for overheating the joint.

So apparently my window trim is angled…which really makes it hard to mount mini blinds so I’m wondering if there is a trick to this or if I just use some small wood shims?AE9DED74-6338-4985-AACF-74743890BF51.jpg82F3A349-6267-43C3-98F1-5972AFD19935.jpg

    Shims.
Or a stack of washers under the back side to act as a shim.
Either way, use a longer screw so you still get good anchorage into the actual wood

Not much going onhere. I moved my Smoker to my other side deck. I used to roll it off my side porch onto my massive side deck but since I had to tear it out, it made it quite a bit steeper. My wife almost found me laying under my smoker when I got it down yesterday. I have a cover coming for it today. My Weber was having an issue igniting the third burner but it turns out the igniter thing wasn't sitting right on the burner. Moved it and all is good now. I needed a cheap win. :) Upcoming projects include cleaning and painting this deck and the front porch.
