Overall its a great product. Really well made and easy to use. I started with the wet foam nozzle. That covering was runny exactly as they describe. Doesn't stick long but I feel like it would pull more junk off the paint. Like if you came back from off roading on pulling sand and salt off during or after winter. When I did my truck I rinsed quick with just water. Then put the dry foam nozzle on. That creates a really satisfying thick foam blanket. The dry foam on a mildly wet panel sticks for a long time and makes washing easy and thorough.

I used 6oz of CG mr pink and about 1 gallon of water. To start I pumped it. 50 full pumps before the relief valve opened. Overall not bad but much easier with the shrader valve. The pressure relief valve makes it idiot proof. Just fill till it pops, release your air chuck. Pressurized off the compressor I pretty effortlessly did two full doors on the crewmax.

I was kind of rushing since we have a lot of people coming and going past the firehouse. They're not big on us using it as a personal wash bay. Probably could have done a better and more thoroug job at home with more microfibers and products. Photos aren't terribly impressive since I had no tire dressing, no trim dressing or anything. Plus it was just cleaned and coated recently so this is kind of a rush job.

Thanks for the review and the pics. I plan on using it mostly for prewash situations.....prior to a full detail....or in the winter when I want to pretreat to get some of the salt/crud off prior to washing. Plan on investing in some Bilt Hamber Touchless or AutoFoam for that task.

I bought a 303 Car Care essential pack as they are 50% off right now. The Protectant and Tire and Rubber Cleaner are around $15 each if you pay full price for them. I figured for $20 more, the rest of the kit was worth it.

I've been in talks with whoever runs the Instagram page for 303 for a while about various stuff that they offer. I was able to convince them to do a giveaway on IG. If you're interested, here's the link:

    https://www.instagram.com/tv/Cgnfy_fF2zO/

The car wash is ph balanced, so good if you have a coating on. I've only used it in the foam cannon so far and it was "meh" compared to most of the other stuff that I've used. I haven't tried much of the other stuff yet, but can report back after I do.

Anyone have a recommendation on how to remove this yellow spotting? Guy at work hit a skunk and I think the yellow junk is it's spray. He tried goo gone and bug n tar. Neither did anything. Also tried a small amount of rubbing compound. I tried 3m adhesive remover which is pretty strong stuff. It seems to have stained the paint. You can run a nail over and it's smooth as the paint / clear coat. Won't catch a nail or microfiber tag at all. Seems to me like it stained the clear coat. I recommend he see a pro detailer since I wasn't going to experiment on a car that's not mine. But we're all kind of at a loss. IMG_20220729_080039.jpg

Eh, just realized this was the purchase thread. I can delete it if needed.

LOL. You're not wrong. They do have a LOT of options.

I've actually been pretty impressed with it as well. The bottle says up to 1 year, but I was expecting 6 months. I think I'm around the 8 month mark and it is still holding up, so it has exceeded my expectations. Truck lives outside too.

On today's episode, how to turn $500 into $10,000.

6 of these 10 coatings are already accounted for.

Man, I am thrilled to hear stories of guys like you doing it right and succeeding! I got my swirl light today and plan on getting after that 2016 of mine again so I can apply the UD Pro. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge. I may have to look Mike Phillips up again and take a refresher course. What I learned a couple summers ago needs updating

Thanks man. Shoot me a message if you run into any issues more than happy to help. That light is badass for being sub $100!

    Do it x2

The packaging is a little funky but I like it. Beats the dull, wanna-be-fancy boxes other coatings come in. Makes it appear less daunting.

Have 2 coatings to use up first. Have Gyeon Pure Evo for Tacoma. Shine Supply Beadlock Pro for either Tundra or 4Runner.

So....got it last week.......but was away so I got it put together last night. Tried it out this morning with the wet nozzle and some Optimum Power clean diluted about 8:1...actually made some decent foam even with a mix that thin. Used a little battery powered Ryobi air pump to charge it.....it worked very very well.

I went back a few pages and didn’t see anything on these products (Blak & Gloz tire shine). Have any of you used them and is it as good as advertised? I doubt it last a whole year, but from what I can tell may last much longer than the standard tire shine products. TIA:

Apparently i have a P&S store about 10min from my house. I had to drop our trailer off for service and i thought i would stop by.

They had a nice storefront and nice lady in there. She was telling me about their new product Absolute, its a rinseless wash, figured for $18 i'd give it a try.

Forgot to take a pic before I opened it....but just picked up (and applied) Gyeon MOHS EVO to the Tundra. Now I know why all the coating guys charge so much. The application was fairly easy and straightforward, but the prep took quite a while. Day 2 since application...and the slickness has definitely improved. I recommend this to anyone who is sheepish about trying a coating......even I didn't screw it up

Hell yes congrats! Most all coatings on the market reach peak "slickness" after a full cure (~4 to 7 days ish). And that's right...the coating going on is the easy part. It's everything leading up to it that takes the most time. At a minimum I hold a veh for 48 hours and put about 7 hours in on the veh during the first day. It's quite a lot.

I think I went through a mile of masking tape. All the effort getting the surface ready was worth it. That paint is so smooth and slick...a fly couldn't land on it.

The yellow brand off Amazon is cheaper and works better if you ever need anymore.

Thinkin' like you said they're gonna get slime all over them and the weights won't stick very well, so do it after? Dammit! stop trying to confuse me. Trying to "trust the process"! It's gonna be a pain to unmount just to coat with tires on but I'm thinking about doin the fronts while off then I'll just have the back sides to do after weights and all? How bad does this stuff smell? Is it something that I'll regret doing in the basement. It's cold outside in garage. Don't wanna kill myself or the dog from it circulating through the house either lol.

Yes after mounting but before they go on the truck! Or just coat the faces/spoke design if they're putting them on the truck for you

Picked up some CG leather cleaner and conditioner on holiday special. Separate bottles, not the 2-in-1 kind. Didn't have any leather cleaner and the family hauler might could use some.

I'm hoping Santa brings a RO polisher and a power washer too. I won't be using it until next April or so but I want to be ready to hit the ground running when detailing season starts again here in the frozen North......

I bought a CG yellow hex pad at Detail Garage and ordered some CG Leather cleaner and conditioner.

It's funny because I have generally thought of CG as crap, but I'm starting to like some of their offerings. I mainly went with the leather cleaner and conditioner from them as they were the best sale at the time. I have not tested yet.

    Was Santa good to you?
