Just matte clear turns the chrome around the shifter that dark? Or did you paint that first?

He matte cleared the shiny black around all that stuff. The chrome was painted before that. The pics are direct before and afters.

Ahhh got it. Makes sense. Looks good. Wonder how hard it is to get that silver piece off?

Depends on which "silver piece" you are talking about. Lots of people call the matte silver around the whole shifter chrome, or silver, and then the shift gate gets called chrome or silver as well. The matte silver (two arrows in the pic below) just pops off with a pry tool, IIRC. The chrome shift gate (one arrow in pic below) requires cutting/breaking some plastic welds from the underside.

    Very helpful @GODZILLA thank you.

I meant the “one arrow” chrome part. My bad. Looks like plastidip and some tape and #25 blade it is then.

Don't give up too easy. Lots of people pop it off, paint it, and then glue it back in with no issue. AJT does sell a cover for it as well if you want easily reversible and don't mind spending a little money for it.

I’ve thought about the AJT route. I just checked their site. Not too bad for just the 1 piece. (The one arrow one from your image). And doesn’t have the “fake bead lock look” like the rest of their stuff does. Might have to do that. Thanks!

Did you remove it to paint and glue it back on or tape it off and paint in place?

I removed it. There was enough of the plastic rivets left to melt them when I reinstalled it.

What size tires do you have on?
Seems like no lift? I am looking for a very similar set up

So when you lift the front 2" with the Pro suspension, the truck will be almost level or maybe 0.5" of rake - you won't get any rear lift from the Fox shocks. Before I started my suspension work, I looked at a lot pics of TRD Pros. Almost all I saw with any significant load in the bed or trailer hitch looked to sag. This is understandable since these trucks are starting out almost level and the leaf springs on our trucks aren't their strongest feature. I decided to add 1.5" shackles in the rear (and another 0.5" up front) to get the total lift and rake I wanted and so my bed wouldn't drop too much in relation to the front with the loads I typically carry. Arguably, there are ways ($) to support/reinforce the leaf springs to reduce sag under load. However, the 1.5" shackles work well enough for me right now - Shackles don't strengthen anything and the bed just starts out at a higher position. Note: These pics obviously don't include the Leer cap I currently have installed, which adds approx. 250-300 Lbs and my drop under loading is a little worse now. Best.

Nice choices on the suspension setup! I run the exact same stuff and think it’s a ton of value for the cost.

Cat shield (after reading all the posts and hearing stories). I got it done at a Toyota dealership since they had their own stock made by a local fabricator and could install same day. The service dept. had over 30 cat-less Tundras and Sequoias in a boneyard awaiting parts (months long delay). Hoping mine won't end up there :fingerscrossed: and the shield provides some good peace of mind.

Just did this yesterday with my spare 35.
Did you chop the brackets, or remove them entirely? I tried to bend them into the frame by using a bottle jack...that did not work so perfect opportunity to try out my demolition hammer and chisel them off entirely.
