Haa! That is unbelievable! I would definitely ask if I could keep it when they swap it out.

Just picked her up yesterday, all I can say is I’m in love!…this thing is ridiculous!…I loved my 2020 Platinum, but quickly forgot about it as soon as I hit the highway and felt that twin turbo hybrid, love everything about this thing! (My first ever TRD Pro)

Thank you!!…Yea, I’m not going to lie…I actually wasn’t a fan of LR on the previous Gen Tundras, but it looks awesome on these Pro’s…they should have absolutely made it an option on the new Sequoia! (Which is a badass suv, if it wasn’t for my channel I actually thought about going that route instead of a Tundra)

Yeah MGM is a solid color choice. Dealers are starting to get allocations so I've requested SO or MGM as top 2 - we'll see which one lands first. Not huge fan of the orange but figure it'll be the most desirable for resale if I don't hold onto it.

I think solar octane looks really good on the seq. I think it looks better on the seq than it does on the Tundra.

If the Tundra TRD Pro was offered in MGM, I’d be searching for one.
I like the SO and Lunar, just not sure I’d like it for 10 years.

Im right there with you. I wanted white. When it came down to it though this allocation ended up being SO instead so I took it, otherwise I got nothing. lol. It is growing on me though.

I lucked out on a this allocation at my local dealer and picked it up yesterday. I only had to wait about a month but felt like forever. Red wasn’t on my list but she looks good.

If you’re in Minnesota, hit up Inver Grove Toyota. Great folks to work with, no markups or gimmicks either. Second car I’ve bought from Bryan Hopson there in two years.

I sense that confidence in this truck is growing, but for anyone who might still be a bit nervous, I'll offer a 10,000 mile update since I have not seen this kind of thing posted here. We've had the 5K and 10K service and the recalls done, and the only two issues we've had are not the ones usually discussed here: I had to have the windshield replaced because I took a rock on my first road trip; and I have to get some body work done because when I brought the truck into the dealer to have the tonneau cover installed I rubbed up against an obstruction while pulling into the service area. Man that was sad! My wife said, "At least it wasn't me who got the first scratch!" IMG_1672.jpg IMG_3585.jpg IMG_3584.jpg Otherwise all is well. No problems with the infotainment or navigation. I have the auto bed step, and I totally agree that Toyota needs to make this standard. Fuel economy is 22-24 highway, lower around town of course but not bad (use auto stop/start, turn off AC, open the windows--I realize this doesn't work for everyone everywhere!). Cumulative average 18.8. We got the truck for towing--our 4Runner would have been fine here in the Midwest for our little camper, but we have kids on the west coast and want to tow out there. The truck tows fine, but our mpg while towing has been disappointing, 12-14, and that's in Michigan with a small camper. Overall I am really happy I bought this truck!

Looking good, sorry about the dents!

Don’t curse the rest of us with those bed steps. I’ve seen more than a handful of them in the middle of a rough two-track road

I'm in the middle of a (not so scientific) milage test with my SR5. I did a trip in early July and got about 19-20MPG, did the same trip this week and got 22-23MPG. Only difference was Premium fuel instead of Regular. Just a seat of the pants test using the Toyota mileage calculator. This weekend coming up I will repeat a trip I did in June hauling my ToyHauler about 5500 pounds, this time with Premium fuel. The June trip I struggled to get above 10MPG, lots of hills. We'll see... My Truck has just over 5K miles so maybe its break-in related...

I brought my new SR home from a dealer about 150 miles away from me. The long drive gave me time to appreciate just how well this truck handles. It’s a huge upgrade from my 2000 Tacoma.

12-14 isn’t bad for towing, what did the 4Runner get like 8? Full size gas trucks don’t get great gas mileage towing

Never have I used premium, but I will be interested in the results of this test. I did notice improvement in mpg after the first 1000 miles or so.

The 4Runner actually got about the same mpg towing as the Tundra has so far, 12-14--although my experience was limited. The camper is only 3000 lbs. dry, but the 4Runner strained with it. Again, this was Michigan and northern Indiana-Ohio, pretty much a flat landscape. In towing I always felt I was asking the 4Runner to do something it wasn't really designed to do. The Tundra is far more capable, and the driving experience while towing is so much smoother and more comfortable. But I hoped the added power, and the Tundra's transmission, would translate into some improvement in fuel economy.
