I got my panoramic roof tinted with 20% ceramic tint. Now my eyes are not affected by sun glare and it is cooler in the summer heat. I’ve never had a panoramic roof and didn’t realize how it made the cabin warmer even with the shade closed.

Agreed 100%. This hasn't been legal anywhere I've lived, but I do it anyhow and love it! I don't go dark, but cutting the glare and head it great.

I wish there was a Pano. roof option with higher trims. I'd pass on it every time, I hate it. I bet the cover won't even be retracted 5 times while I own the truck.

I was told by my installer not to put ceramic in the SR. He used something else. I’m to lazy to walk to the truck and get the warranty . Can’t recall the reason behind, when he explained it made sense so I went for it. So I did WS 50% and windows at 30% all ceramic and SR was different material. I can look into tomorrow if anyone is interested.

I think I went with 50 on the windshield. Whatever it is doesn't cause any issues at night.

I’m loving my sunroof and windshield tint. I did 70% on both along with 20% on the sides and have experienced a huge reduction in radiant heat and increased A/C efficiency. With a black truck in particular this has been fantastic.

On my Ram I had 35% windshield and 25% all the way around. It was pretty dark.
On the Pro I went 75% ceramic on front, and then 25% on front and rear doors. Rear is factory for now but may do a 75% overlay on top of the factory tint.
I considered doing sunroof but during the day I am mostly keeping the shade closed. I guess it may block a little more heat if I did it but I don’t see it as all that important.

I don't ever open the shade on my pano. roof, but I assure you good tint blocks a tremendous amount of heat that comes through the shade. It cost an arm and a leg to have it done, but it's worth it to me.

Is it really that noticeable? I know the shade is thin, but man, seems like it absolutely would be expensive to have it done.

To me there is a huge difference. I could feel the heat through the shade before and now it's about like a normal roof. I don't recall the pricing, but I wanna guess $150 or so for the pano.

Others have posted what they paid for tint on another thread and it's all over the board. If some of the prices were true, I swear they must have used a crack head in the Walmart parking lot, lol. I use the same company for every vehicle because I know they are good; maybe I overpay, but I'm satisfied.

Pano roof is big so ceramic tint makes a difference. On cars without a sunroof, I've used cheap sound deadener off Amazon on the roof and doors and that blocks even more heat out. Its amazing!

I just know what I paid for windshield and passenger windows from a really reputable place, so figured pano would be at least $200. They have a machine that cuts it right in shop.
I may look into having it done.

I did ceramic tint on my pano roof as well. Absolutely notice a difference. Before tint it was like a greenhouse for heat! Now it’s way better. Cost wasn’t crazy - ceramic tinted the whole truck minus windshield was about $620 (Cad) out the door. (13% tax FWIW )

where did you get it done? I know you’re located in Ontario like me. What brand ceramic tint did they use?

The place that did my tint said they don't like doing sunroofs because they can break because of the tint causing the glass to heat up. Whether that is actually a concern or not, idk. I am wanting to do mine in 50 or 70 just to cut down the heat. I have all my windows and windshield done, and on a hot sunny day you can feel the heat radiating through the sunroof visor thing.

I went to extreme graphics in London ( https://xtremegraphixtrim.com/) they used Autobahn i3 ceramic on fronts to match the rears, added air ceramic to rear doors, rear window & pano roof simply to reduce uv/heat without darkening.

Im taking mine in to get the ceramic coating its yearly maintenance. While im there i set up to have the ceramic tint done on the moonroof. I dont know much about it but from what you guys are saying the ceramic doesnt darken the view out??? If thats the case i would want to do the windshield too. My night vision is horrible and the glare from oncoming cars kills me. I was looking to do 5% on both windshield and moonroof

That would depend on what percentage of ceramic tint you go with. 50% won't be super dark, but it will add a level of tint for sure.
In my case, I got 20% tint on the front door windows, and I got 70% on the windshield, which is nearly clear. You can't really tell there is a tint on the windshield at all at 70%. I also did 70% on the back windows so they wouldn't be darker than the front.
I would suggest you do every window in ceramic if you are going to get it done at all, otherwise its kind of a waste.

Depending on which product they use, you should be able to select from a range of different shades - darkness from virtually no shade/ tint to almost black out

50% on windshield , if that helps

You won't be able to see a thing at night with 5% on the windshield. I had that on the sides of my cruiser when I was LE and had to put my windows down at night.

Ceramic functions visually just like color stable tint, but it rejects more UV/heat. 5% on the windshield is going to be like you painted it black at night. You will not be able to see at all. Do 70% clear film - you'll get the heat rejection and glare reduction without sacrificing visibility.

Been getting quotes for ceramic tinting in my area to do the whole truck including the panoramic roof and windshield. Pricing has been all over the place, best I have found so far is $840 for Cermaic Pro KAVACA IR which from the reviews I have seen is pretty good stuff. Have been quoted $1600 for pretty crappy stuff which boggle my mind considering I live in AZ where there is stiff competition for tinting.
