    Payload
    My 2019 CM Limited 4x4 w/sunroof door sticker: 1185 - (yellow sticker) 14lbs for running boards I guess? = 1171lbs
My 2000 AC Limited 4x4 - 1190lbs (GVWR - scale weight, albeit with all my normal tools and things on board) = maybe really 1380lbs or so?
    My wife's 2015 Jeep GC Limited 4x4 - 1050lbs
    My Daughters 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude 2wd - 1000lbs
    MIL 2019 4Runner limited nightshade 4x4 - 1165lbs

So my 2019 Tundra can haul no more weight than any other vehicle I own basically.

NONE! Lasted about a month, Firestone bags, Decked system, ARE CX HD, WeatherTech mats/rainguards, TRD RSB...
Lots of payload and technical back and forth here. But what I can't get over is, why in the world is anyone out there towing houses into the woods, mountains, lakes, streams, deserts and off grid areas? Isn't the reason we go camping to get away from stuff!? Away from creature comforts. Away from cell reception and TVs! Yet here we are towing 'campers' bigger than some houses. Go buy a tent.

You know I used to think the same thing about RV's and campers and then I bought one and I'll never go back to sleeping in a tent. I try to boondock as much as possible so typically don't have any cell or internet service. Plus its not always about being in nature for me its both that and being able to spend time with my wife and kids without the everyday distractions. Oh I also like to bring my toys along which makes the trip even that more enjoyable.

    The Dirty T ( ^_^)_且

I've camped my entire life usually sleeping in a tent or the back of my truck. Now I have a travel trailer and use it often. I never lost the desire and enjoyment from doing outdoors things, but age and medical issues eventually affect all of us, so tent camping just isn't an option. A trailer is a great way to still enjoy getting out camping with the extra comfort some of us need.

To each their own. Everyone has their own preferences. Nothing wrong with either way.

I'm in the market to buy a nice camper but I also enjoy my solo backpacking trips without cell service.

We glamp with our trailer a week or two every summer and rough it (no power, water or cell service) at my family's lake lot most weekends.

So what do you reckon the GVWR/payload on this thing is?

No, I'm sure the engineers adjusted the sticker with a sharpie.

You must be new to the internet. The way I do things is THE only acceptable way to do things. If you don't do the same things I do, then you're wrong and automatically my enemy.

Or some such garbage as that.

There are times I enjoy tent camping, and there are times I rather enjoy being in an rv/cabin with AC, a bed, a flushing toilet, refrigerator, and a shower.

A flushing toilet? O deer, if I ever went into the wild, I'd need a train cistern full of potable water. I flush a lot.

What I can’t understand is why anyone would sleep in a tent! Been there done that a lot in some extreme weather. Much rather my motorhome now.

Motorhomes and big RVs don’t fit everywhere (thankfully) And some people want to smash their head on a rock when Linda fires up the generator in the middle of the wilderness to microwave her hot pocket.

When I was a young buck, used to tent camp a lot. Tent camped with my two boys when they were really young and just got tired of it. I was jealous of those who had a trailer. The boys got into summer sports and we stopped camping. Now my boys are in college, I sold all my properties (pretty much everything else for that matter) and am full timing in a travel trailer until I find a landing spot somewhere to set up a new home base. My how times have come full circle. I’m living proof to be careful what you wish for, you might just get it!

@FedExTrucker are you going to solve the great payload sticker debate and post a pic of your sticker? Lane Kiffin would want you to call the naysayers out and prove your payload numbers…:monocle:

Never really thought about it. :monocle: Just the way my brain would come at it is it represents the weight of the vehicle at the curb, meaning all fluids and ready to drive. IDK for sure though.
