Which one did you go with?

 

I kind of want to see if I can get a TRD Pro to fit on my 2nd gen. I bet someone has done it, I just haven't searched yet.

 

Just changed mine a couple days ago, MotivX is the way to go!
No matter how long I let the filter drain out, there's always a little bit of a mess.

Good enough! I’ll keep my eyes out for one and if I come across it I’ll give it a shot. I’m an engineer and work on a machine shop. I’m sure I can make it work if it’s not a direct fit.

I almost got a MotivX, but then I saw the Jowett Performance cap and I was sold. It's expensive as crap and never in stock, but the thing is phenomenal for oil changes. With this and the fumoto valve I could probably wear a suit to change my oil. (exaggeration of course, but you get my meaning)

Oh, having had an unplanned oil shower I will 100% disagree here.

 

For sure. Though the Tacos do have some filter relocation kits and can be converted to a regular filter pretty readily. A standard filter at the top of the engine bay is always a win.

 

I've got a Fumoto on the pan but that's a great idea for the filter housing.

 

Fumoto is a game changer. Did you get the long nipple (mind out of the gutter, people) so you can use a hose to direct it?

 

Maybe.. I got the 90° one that came with white plastic adapters for a hose.

 

I got this one, it's low profile and can swivel where you want it. 2 piece design.

Schnazzy. I don't think I ever saw one like that before. The ability to rotate hasn't presented any leaks or anything when draining, right?

 

I haven't tried to rotate it, I set it up where I wanted it the first time. No need to adjust it now.

 

Oh! So it locks in place? I was misreading and thinking it could swivel freely. That makes so much more sense.
