    Just installed 315/70r17 Toyo R/T with KMC 717 17x8.5 +18
No lift, no BMC. Removed mudflaps and pushed fender liner forward a bit with the help of my heat gun. Slight rub at full lock when going through bumps at speed. Will do BMC and install 5100s soon, but very driveable for now. Thanks to this forum and its members for all the info I was able to find before I decided to pull the trigger.
Also, crazy how pics don’t do justice to the BEEFINESS!

Did you do anything for your speedometer/odometer calibration? I think a few guys have used the hyper tech module.

That’s the next move after 5100s. Doesn’t seem to too far off to be a problem though.

To avoid the BMC (probably) space the bumper forward (washers or 5/8" nuts), then use your alignment cams to maximize caster and move your wheels forward. Rear pivot all the way out, then adjust the front til camber is right.

if you'd went with 25mm offset, you probably won't need a bmc

    See build link
Slap a leveling kit on and you'd get more clearance.

I mean sure under street driving, but once suspension is compressed, it will rub just as much as non-lifted. Quite contrary to what people think, as long as your lift is under say 3-4 inches, the amount of lift won't affect how much the tire rubs under all suspension articulation scenarios.

I really want to go with some 305/70 r17s for my stock height tundra but all the tire shops say there is no way it'll fit without BMC, and here you are running an even beefier setup. Did you do a test fit before you put them all on?

If you want to avoid a BMC then make plenty of forward clearance, by spacing the bumper and liner forward. Then do an alignment that maximizes caster, which moves the wheel forward. Also, if you can find wheels with +35 offset that would be good also. I wouldn't use any with less than +25.
