I'm really happy with my set-up - just need to work out sockets...that duck roll is pretty sweet, isn't it?

i really need one of these rolls.. i lack wrenches in the kit ive got.. ratcheting screw driver with bits, sae and metric sockets and ratchets. 3/8 and 1/4" i have.


need to get a 35mm socket, a chisel, and a beefy screw driver for the CV axle issue... but i can repair most of the truck as of now.

 

I was peeping the Wright Tool Wrightgrip 2.0 wrenches. They make a no skip 7 to 24mm set that is supposed to be the best in the business as far as the open end goes.

Also includes its own denim tool roll.

I have a running list of tools I plan on stocking in the kit. The goal is to make a comprehensive kit that I can always keep in my truck.

My wrenches are mostly craftsman and gear wrench. But, those are super sweet, probably what the go-to review project farm guy would say.

I think you are getting a tad busy with things like wire strippers, but I always pack too much so....

 

Those are sweet, flaps down on standard length stuff for no slip out.

 

I still have 30 things to put into organizers. Hrmmm. Order a few more? They are nice, but all this weight is heavy AF. I think I mostly just need to transport my tool cabinet as-is and strap it to the side?

Getting kinda scared about how much crap I have to transport. Yikes.

 

I'll probably try to find some sort of plyer or combination tool that includes wire strippers.
I'm a serial over-preparer, and also I don't have a "home base" of sorts where I can make repairs, so I'm always bumming it in a friend's driveway or something. Asking to borrow their tools just feels like asking to borrow their wives too.

 

I hear you on that. I need to reduce some weight and space filling non-essentials, not really in the tool department, but just the same. However, the balance of what you need and what you don't is a challenge for everyone I think. In your case, sounds like more robust is the way.

 

Last time I moved it was around the corner. I still got a moving company. it was worth it. The time before I moved 3 miles with a rented trailer, and at some point the company called me to ask if I was bringing the trailer back. It took forever.

 

I gotta move all my junk this weekend. Then the house move is the following weekend with the movers and such. If I don't get my crap organized and out on my own, it goes in the dumpster apparently I like my stuff.

All the time. I have seen every video of his to date. Same for the Torque Test Channel. I love people who put unbiased info out there.

 

I’d love to see a balisong flip tool that’s both a set of long nose cutting pliers and multi-gauge wire stripper.

I’ve seen the multi-tool but it’s nowhere near what I want.

 

each is about $6k? We did one from Seattle for the mil's estate. The "real" movers are costing about 2 pods and they help pack so it's a definite go on that. I think we could easily have 3 pods with my stuff and possibly more. A u-haul is $1k so a better option, plus I have to haul horses anyway. Gonna make it an epic weekend.

 

Ah - that's ridiculous - I never used them and didn't know they wanted that much...

 

As disturbing as this sounds, I really don't think our government should be involved in things like who or what you are marrying and abortion. Allegedly this is a free country, do what makes you happy and makes your life easier/better so long as you are not intentionally hurting another.

I wish they made this for our trucks, you could carry every "wtf tool" you need and a small cooler for beer and sandwiches to hold you over in that "wtf just happened to my truck" situation

 

I put snap ring plyers in my truck tool kit after having to separate a c-clip on a CV with screwdrivers and needle nose plyers.

1200cc from the ulysses is getting a 90" kit (1650cc) and going onto the firebolt. With e85 injectors and 13:1. The ulysses is going to get the 984cc with 8:1 pistons and cams to run cool and fine on swill. Big tank swingarm, ulysses seat and subframe, and 12x header will get transferred to the firebolt. Uly will need a chain conversion and high pipes, because the shorter firebolt swingarm and forks will lower the clearance.

 

I really hate big brother like this, but it's still cool to see...

Will an XB head fit, or do you need the older Thunderstorm head? I used to be a Buell guy (2 X-1's, 1 S-3 and an 1125R). I got away from the 2 wheelers on the street though.
