Silver Sky Metallic is taking major damage from the sun. Any cheap fix here or is it a shop situation?

Starting to have similar issues on my 07. What does the repair look like for this? Process/price?

I have a couple dings in my driver's door. I took it to a local reputable body shop. They quoted me about $600 a door if I wanted it repaired/painted. That was a couple years ago. I'm sure the price has went up some.

Usually repaints look like shit - unless you do a full repaint and then you are looking at $5000 for a factory look Maybe more If you're not ready to plunk down that kind of cash i would just leave it

A good shop will either repaint the whole door or chase the blend down to the body line just above the door handle, then up around the side of the glass. Respraying or blending a single panel that has been faded and damaged by the sun can be difficult because the paint is no longer the factory color as it's been faded from the sun. Some shops will get a color matched and mixed, some will grab the color code from the VIN and get a can of the factory color. The former method of color matching can yield better results. Where the damage is may actually be helpful as it is not immediately adjacent to another panel of original color, as well the lighting is different form the other body panels. So it could turn out pretty good.

The other reason paint matching can be a pain is because most folks don't want to pay for a buff and shine on the rest of the vehicle, so the repaired section is new and shiny and rest of the paint is dull and scratched/scuffed.
