Anyone figure out how to make an address your home or work? I have the infotainment 14inch. I can add favorites fine, but I can seem to figure out how to make an address your home or work?

If you are using the Toyota navigation and not Car Play nor Android Auto, you must set the Home and Work locations in the Toyota App on you phone.

Thanks, using the App under the “find” tab at the bottom allowed me to set these up.

The owners manual seems to be for an older version of the software.

Not that I am overly paranoid but I never put in my actual home address in any GPS device or app. I use the high school just down the block. If I can't find my way home from there it's time to give up driving. ;-) Just something to consider...

if anyone asks, its in case the vehicle gets stolen. since most people also program the garage door opener, easy peasy to break into a house.

And it's always a good idea to keep the spare FOB in the center console safe... :)

If they want that info they will find it, registration, insurance, list all these things. And with a license plate and vin # you can look up personal information in most states.

Thanks for posting info on this - Had been looking forever in the app inside the truck, didn't even realize it would be on the PHONE app. Must've overlooked it in the manual as well.

For what it's worth the 'Send to car' functionality is also in the the Toyota Mobile App. Wasn't sure how to use that either. Interesting design choices - from someone who manages digital products, I felt kind of silly not figuring this out sooner.

Ok, so I thought I had it all set up right, but the other day, I was playing with Nav and noticed the home & work fields are blank. I checked the app, and it still has ‘set up’ showing beside both home & work. Yet every time I click on it, and start typing my address, select it when it auto fills all it does is give me a send to car or add to favorites option. When I send to car all it does is set a route for me, but still won’t show up or save as Home.
My home address is saved under my account/profile on the app, I double checked, so I’m kinda confused why it won’t show up under Home in Nav? Anyone else having issues? Or advice?

Same here. I have given up trying to make this work. I can add a favorite in the app by using the Home or Work link and send to the truck, but it won't save. I'm actually glad you posted this since I thought it was just me.

Yeah, I’ve done the same & just saved them as favourites. It’s weird

So I spent some time on this Home - Work thing & I think I have it!

Sitting in my home on wifi
1 - ensure the most current version of app is on the phone ( when I checked it looks like a new version may have updated in the last day or so)
2 - log out of Toyota app, close app / open & log back in again
3 - go to ‘find’ button on app & click on ‘ destinations’
4 - ( mine still showed ‘set up’ for both home & work) I entered address as it is under my profile & searched. Now it gave me the option to save as home with a house icon ( briefcase for work address)
5 - once set in app, then I sent each one to car.

went out to truck, opened Nav & went to destinations & both home & work were now active with the address. I then cleared the ‘new messages’ shut truck off, exit, lock - unlock & got in, restarted truck & it was still there.

I also unlinked my key from my profile in truck before shutting off & then relinked it after starting as my primary profile was not auto loading, & that seems fixed now too. It used to ask if I wanted to switch from guest to primary before & now just loads the primary.
