Got the truck on Friday. Found this on the driver side floor today. Anybody know what it is?

Does it fit around where seat attaches?

That was my first thought. I don’t see how it would fit in there though.

Is that an all digital dash I see in the background?

Yes. My truck is a 1794. Really like it and the heads up display but totally unnecessary.

There is one for each side on the front. Notice the one you took a pic of says Front Left Hand.

The glass dash is great, but I really wish I had the Heads Up Display on the TRD Pro. Just took a 2500mi round trip roadtrip and it would have come in handy.

I never thought about this, but I put on sunglasses and couldn't see it anymore. Rendered totally useless.

Nevermind. I saw how it fits on the passenger side. Any way to delete a thread?

Most of the time I would appreciate it would be on any road-trips where I tend to drive at night. Would come in handy there. And then I am sure that certain sunglasses would still work during the day. Are yours polarized by any chance? That may explain.

Yep. Polarized Costa Del Mars. Probably a big factor.

When I was flying I had to carry multiple pairs. Polarized for everything, but non-polarized for the cockpit. The polarized would literally block out entire screens in glass-panel cockpits. lol

the polarized glasses make it hard to see. We have it on our highlander. Seemed like a good idea but I’m too accustomed to looking at dash I forget it’s there. At night it is more obvious.

I'm not into bells and whistles BUT that is one bell and whistle I want! I figure it will be standard on all models SR5 and higher in a few years. Feel free to post vids of it and what all it can do.

Polarized eliminate reflections. HUD is basically a reflection on the winfshield.

It is from the turbo accelerator right behind the warp dampener.

Be careful. Mine fell off and then The metal seat rail started to shred the lower plastic trim where the buttons are.

I’ve already had it replaced once and it needs replacement again.

I disagree, its definitely the end cap from the dynamic oscillator that engages the armature sprocket assembly when the turbo flatulator fan in the seat is switched to the “on” position,

Yup, any polarized lenses. It's not an issue with regular lenses.
