Hoping to get the time to install on the Tundra this weekend. Dad was taking pics after I installed on his Tacoma:

Mine have arrived! I’m halfway through a gauge cluster install on my Squarebody Chevy right now but so tempted to put it on pause and slam these fog lights in!!!

Installed the yellow with amber backlighting today although I didn't know which wire to tap for the backlight part so that's not hooked up.

I think it's gonna' look great with the amber backlight feature with the black bumper. Already looks pretty good before I even have it working.

not sure this will help but my 21 SR5…I tapped into the violet wire off the side marker bulb
Did have to remove a couple more 10mm to get my paw up in there to unplug but has been working with no probs

That does help; IIRC that's what they tapped on the Tacoma in their video as well. Thank you.

Not to beat a dead horse but these things sure are head and shoulders above the stockers. This was this morning in a pretty well lit parking garage.

Finally finished the fog lamp install, taking out the grille and headlights; much easier than I thought it would be. Access to the marker lights and thanks to you guys, got the backlight wiring hooked up. Hard to take good pictures of it though, gets drowned out by the other lights a bit.

Could you guys be more specific on finding the wire to t-tap into? I'm about to do the install of these this weekend.

You do not have to remove the entire wheel well liner but when you unbolt the front and can get your hand in there (behind the oem fog assembly)
Look up towards the small 194 bulb that goes into the side of the headlight.
You may have to pull back some of the protective loom to see what is what.
On my 21’ the violet wire was what I tapped for the amber backlight

Thanks @AGTundra This is nerve-wracking. So violet wire for me would be parking light which is only on when headlights are on. I guess I would want to tap into the DLRs so the fogs always glow.

Anyway, you used these violet wires, right?

I didn’t tap into my DRL…so not sure best practice for that
But yes it looks like you have the right wires identified and I get ya on the nerve racking part
Take your time and double check your connections

    Nice lil Saturday upgrade

    IMG_2870.jpg

Shout out to @memario1214 for the upgraded light bar brackets.

Now I’m realizing those Morimoto projectors with the amber DLRs would really tie this all together real nice…

2018 OEM Headlights with @ihacker's wiring harness, Blacked out LED tail lights, A.R.E. color matched camper shell.
Im looking to get these for my 2016 Tundra. I upgraded to the 2018 OEM Tundra headlights and used the harness @iHacker makes for the DRL's.

Is it a necessity to do the amber backlight hookup thing? If it is, how would I go about that with the Harness for the DRL's?
