Finally got a good monsoon rain at my house, fucking pouring, but... I just went in the garage to get a beer and water is flowing into my garage from the side door. I put down some bath towels to at least try to route it so it flows the other way under the cars and out rather than towards the house and my beer fridge.
Looks like I have a weekend project to deal with. I never open that door, so maybe I'll just grab a tube of caulk and seal the fucking door shut.

Yes, shove some caulk in the crack. But are you going to use big black caulk or average white caulk?

    Evening, Crüe.
Headed back to Louisiana here in a few. Got to nap most of the afternoon so I am eager to hit the road. Enjoyed seeing family and in-laws, and staying at the in-laws’ farm/ pecan orchard.
The main reason we came, though, was for the birth of my niece, which went perfectly for my sister and her hubby, and my beautiful new niece.
Since it was just a quick turnaround trip, I didn’t end up getting a chance to do any off-roading, and didn’t get to put the Westcott kit on, but probably for the better so I can make any adjustments or get an alignment if needed back home rather than on the road.
It was hot here but I didn’t stay soaking wet in sweat unlike back home. Other than family, thats probably the only thing I miss about the Land of Entrapment. Desert sunsets aren’t bad either.

Is stock the 24 or 27? I had great luck with the x2 from batts plus. But i also understand if your not near a store with that name, that doesn’t make it easy for warranty or such

Both of our families live in the Las Cruces area. I actually grew up on the Eastern side of the state, closer to TX before moving here. Then it turns out she and I both lived in Phoenix at the same time after that but we didn’t meet until both returning here, which was right as I was ditching commercial aviation and going into the Navy.

How funny. You’ll have to fill me in on all that!

I prefer driving at night. I have perfect vision, temps are lower, traffic is lighter, and I dont have to stop as much because everyone else is sleeping instead of needing to stop and piss. Plus, then we actually have an afternoon and evening left when we get back home.

Haha brothers from a different basin. I have respect for people that have lived in Phx and then left.
I got to do some work in Nm, random places, riudoso, Clovis, los alamos? And then a lot of casinos to the north.

It seems all the Interstate AGMs are smaller than the lead 27F and 24F.
I had an X2 AGM 27F that pissed me off, but I think I got a lemon.
Batteries Plus warranty service sucks a dick.

I traded that 8-month-old X2 AGM in on a $12 core charge for the Interstate MTP..............YMMV..

I’ve never tried it, me and @AZBoatHauler were just talking about this today.
I feel like I’d be so tired from packing the truck prior, that I wouldn’t feel safe? I’m a terrible night sleeper, let alone day sleeper to prep for the drive

Hahahaha that made me laugh, thank you!
I’m not saying batteries plus is the bees knees, but we didn’t have any issues replacing ours at 4.5 years when it shit the bed(I have a maintainer, but it only works when you plug it in….) but I won’t be putting a 31 back in the 4runner when the replacement shits the bed. I think the 27 is fine.

I travel with the family like this. We leave around 2 or 3 am. The kids sleep for a while then we stop for breakfast. I can adjust to a lot. I have better than perfect vision (something like 17/20 I think, I don't know the eye scale very well), so the dark doesn't hinder me much. Goes so much smoother driving at night vs day for me personally.
