Whatever this forum told me to do
And the damn tires need to be EV rated to carry the extra weight of the MS.

I like that guy but I think he's missing one thing.
The standard range M3 doesn't qualify either because of the battery makeup, not enough North American components.

I hope they bump up the max price for a car before the bill passes.

There is going to be a large group of pissed off people (myself included) if this bill passes. I could have used the entire $7,500 credit on my tax bill last year...gotta love the feds

    yup.

I could write a nasty dissertation about this certain bill.

in short - there should not be ANY Gov handouts for any free market durable goods. It's not fair for open markets.

I wont get one other than from my state. My M3P, with sales tax was about $70k.

The SR will be the only option for those

This one is $7,500 off at time of purchase. Still BS because it automatically makes everyone's model Y's worth $7,500 less on 1/1/2023

Nah bro, as of now no model 3's are eligible for the "free" fed pesos.
Edit* Sorry, you're talking about the CO credit.

    MYLR & MYP will be.

    Well,
I too have jumped onto the EV bandwagon. After a change in work circumstance I was using my Tundra to commute 60 mile round trip daily.
Tunny was costing $1100/month in fuel costs which was unsustainable long term. Went down the Electric Vehicle rabbit hole and purchased a KIA EV6 GT LINE AWD. Its only 320bhp but super fun to scoot around in sport mode, like an electric go kart.
Several incentives drove me to this including the $7,500 tax credit, manufacturer, utility, state rebates etc. Plus the charging for FREE at work is super nice. Sold the Tunny a month after having the EV and using the money to purchase a service vehicle/van for my side business.
Would like to add, I NEVER thought I would got from a 5.7V8 4x4 modified Toyota to a EV and a KIA no less! I wake up and look in the mirror and ask myself who the hell am I ??

    Congrats!
I said the same thing, when I purchased EV. They are just SO addicting and everything else almost feels like child play!
Did you hook up a 14-50 for home charging? Its got almost 450lb torque, so I bet it scoots very quickly!

Tesla was supposed to stop including chargers in April, but mine came with it in June and everyone still seems to be receiving them.
I feel 32A is plenty to charge at home with, but those looking for something faster such as a 40A: (and I’m sure they want $$ for this)

Interesting, but I’m also curious if either had pre-heated their battery just before the race, AC on/off
The M3P has higher top end so something isn’t adding up. :notsure:

Shared before, but the M3P should be able to hit 11.40 in the 1/4 run with great conditions on stock wheels / tires.

Switch to the 18” and you’ll drop some (11.27 is what this one got)
