The Westcott collar lift is literally in my truck in the box while I am on vacation. I’m trying to sneak off to install it at my dad’s place but may have to wait til I get back home. Can’t comment on ride quality yet, nonetheless. lol

I’m not fooling with a JB4 on this thing. There is no reason in my opinion. It’s a truck, not a car, and its not like I need any extra towing power on a half-ton…. I have had plenty of fast cars and a 6000lb truck is not going to be one of them. It is already plenty peppy for daily driving and off-road activities. I’m going over mud, ruts, and occasional brush where I live; not going all Ivan Stewart out on some dunes somewhere. Don’t get me wrong, I’d trust JB4 over most any other plug and play type tuner, but unless I see significant fuel mileage gains out of these from anywhere, I don’t see myself ever fooling with it, warranty aside or not.

I went with 35x12.5” Nitto Ridge Grapplers on the factory BBS 18” wheels. These wheels are plenty nice and maintain the intended look of the truck. If I had another trim, I might opt for an aftermarket wheel, but not on the TRD Pro. The Nittos fit perfect under the factory ride height (supposed 1” difference up front on the Pro probably helps) as long as you take off the front mud flaps (tiny tiny bit of rub with them). I’m sure they will fit even better after the Westcott, so I will report back. The upper control arm is about 3/4 of an inch from inner sidewall, so depending on how things sit after the Westcott, I may end up adding a small wheel spacer, 10-12mm or so. As it sits, the offset has no poke. Outer sidewalls are pretty dead even with the fender flares. I wouldn’t mind a tiny bit more poke, though, just for stance.

The only thing else I will probably do in the near future is a CBI bumper (black/flat) and add a winch and tow-hooks there.

The Falken 33” tires honestly don’t look all that bad on a black truck. On Solar Octane they looked tiny so I got rid of them right away, even before lift. I also just wanted more clearance and breakover angle and all anyway though. That’s a really nice looking truck, man.

If I read correctly… You are swapping your forged BBS OEM wheels for
    These?

To each his own, but I wouldn’t. BBS is top notch, unless you are just looking to get 20s. I wouldn’t sell the 18” BBS wheels though to cover the swap. They’re around $700 per wheel on the “used” low end, and $900+ new.
And if you ever sell the truck, chances are the buyer is going to want them back on there.

Agreed. Most aftermarket wheels are a downgrade from the OEM BBS wheels.

    Yes…what @Roctane84 said.

I wouldn’t get rid of them for the world quite honestly…much stronger and lighter weight and a premium wheel.

Thanks! Yeah was looking for 20’s.
Wish the TRD PRO came with stock 20’s but I get it, they were trying to achieve better fuel economy.

They use 18's for increased sidewall as the Pro is the most off-road oriented configuration.

Lots of guys will swap their 20’s for yours.
I would too if I had some and wasn’t already invested in wheels (though not that quality)…and I need to get other things for the truck.

Honestly though the Pro is marketed to and comes so equipped for folks who are going to put it through the paces of heavier off-roading and dessert running.
The last thing you want to be is stuck in God knows where land with a cracked rim and no spare…makes for a bad day.

The cheaper cast wheels (most aftermarket are these) can get the job done but forged wheels will give you a much more confidence and they are lighter weight at 28lbs

Biggest reason for running 18’s was mentioned above; greater sidewall, and better off road traction when deflated for it. Westcott put 37’s on the factory 18s for a guy. I’m gonna stick with 35s, but the 33s were the only thing Toyota did that was arguably for fuel economy.

Honestly probably should’ve done more homework on the BBS stocks. But thanks for the advice I’ll certainly keep them instead of selling.

And who knows I might put 37‘s on them and swap shoes every now and then ;)

Any TRD PRO owner who replaces their wheels with any wheels under a grand/piece, are the same folks putting red trd stickers on their front grill. Hard stop. #ghetto

What I have planned for my (delayed again!) truck is bed rail hooks to hang tie-down equipment from, a hitch D ring shackle for recovery, rear diff snorkel, along with some DIY bed storage mods like quick-fists on the bed rail to store tools and equipment. Nothing major, since the Pro already has the stuff I want/need.

Have the wescott pro lift on the table in the kitchen as we speak. Lift going on Thursday and I have a set of Yokohama geolander mts in 305 70 18 going on Saturday. I was going to try and get everything done when the lift came in but work just hit and I needs money to pay for all this fun stuff for the truck. Haha

BFG KO2s 37X12.5X17 Method 702 Wheels +0 offset. Wescott TRD Pro kit front and rear. No rubbing but had to remove the factory crash bar with 4 bolts located behind the fender liner. I'm probably keeping stock wheels and I'm in the Dallas area specifically McKinney
