    Hey Everyone,

I recently bought my first Tundra (I’ve had two Tacomas so no stranger to Toyota trucks.) it’s a 2022 SR5 CrewMax and I’m having a pretty significant amount of brake squeaking and squeal.

I checked my rotor surfaces and they seem fine but I haven’t heard of this issue being common like the wastegate issue so I thought I’d ask if someone else was experiencing the same thing.

Thanks in advance for any insight!

obviously just a guess but a rock trapped in the caliper can make noise.

@DEPFFEMT Yeah mine is the same way. @PlatinumPro I didn’t see any rocks in the caliper but I didn’t remove the wheels to inspect it. It seemed to have stopped on my way home from work this evening but I’ll see if it stays that way. I’ll post here if I find a remedy. Thanks for the insight guys!

Do a couple of hard stops, 50 to 5 mph, back to back and see if it cleans things up.

Same issue around 1100 miles. Will try the hard stops thing and see what I get.

Same here I-force max with 900 miles brakes squealing coming to a stop started at right around 600 miles have done a few stops as some here recommended and it stops doing it for a little bit, most of the times happens after having the truck sitting for a few hours.

I took my truck to the dealer for the rear axle recall and they opened a tech case for rust on the rotors. Currently awaiting a call back but I’ll keep you all posted. Hard stops weren’t successful for me. The issue dissipates depending on how long I drive.

I had this happen to me, and when I took it in they opened a ticket with their "Toyota" people, I guess. They ended up replacing rotors and pads and that fixed it.

Did you have to cover the cost of the replacement?

No, no cost out of pocket. They did have to get the OK to do it. It was a two-day process, though.
