Guess this is a weird thing to post but I don't know... seems like this place...I talk to more than anyone else other than my ol lady.

Was in the middle of a workshop and got the text.

Dad's making arrangements. His mom was 92. I'm more worried about him than anything else. His whole life post-retirement has been consumed with taking care of her and now that she's gone, well...

Getting older sucks the most as more ppl keep slippin away. Reminds you of the inevitable drawing nearer.

If you've gotta granny that's still kickin, go give her a hug tonight fellas.

Condolences to you and your family. 92 years is a life well lived. Remember the good times and she'll always be with you.

No joke about making time for those you love while you still can. We're down to just my mother in law is left (as far as our parents/grandparents). But I've also lost one of my brothers already and a nephew that was taken way too young. You just never know.

Thanks yall. She was in the back yard gardening. Doing what she loved the most. It was too damn hot for her to be back there but she would've never let anyone keep her from messing with her flowers.

I feel for you. My grandfather at 92 passed last November and that was hard. Between he and my father I owe them for everything I have. I sure do cherish the time I had with him and my grandmother as a kid. She passed in 2016.

Death is a weird thing as it’s fate for all of us. I work a job reconstructing auto accidents and frequently see pictures of deceased people. That doesn’t bother me like loosing a personal family member obviously but it’s just part of our life.

The sad ones are the ones gone too early. I was 18 when my older brother passed unexpectedly, he was only 20 and the person I was closest to in this world. I didn’t have a choice, I had to find a way to keep moving forward without him.

I would say congratulations to her for having a great 92 years on this earth.

    My Condolences to you man

Sorry to hear about your family’s loss Charles.

Sometimes even talking to a bunch of ding dong like us helps get things out. Trust me, we are all here for ya if needed.

Tell us a bit about your Grandma and the legacy she helped create. (If you want)

I'm sorry, bud. Losing loved ones is always rough. Heard a quote a couple years ago, and it helps me keep perspective at times.

I hope her 92 years were all quality years. Your dad will be OK. My mom is 90. She is in good condition for her age but after 90 years most people struggle. Aches and pains, eyesight, hearing, declining cognitive abilities, etc. It's all just the normal cycle of life.

My dad passed just shy of 92. He enjoyed great health until a couple of years before he passed. The hardest part was the dementia. I pray my mom doesn't go through that but most don't determine their end.

For me, it all serves to remind us how short life is and how precious our family and those we love are and the importance of telling them how much we love them and appreciate what they have meant to us.

God bless you and your family.

Sorry for your loss, Charles. If she was anything like my Grandma or my Nana, then rest assured she is at home in heaven and no longer burdened by Earthly pains. It is only us who feel the pain as we miss them and await our own homecoming.

Romans 14:8 says if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

Sorry to hear about your grandma passing. 92 years and going out with your boots, er, gardening gloves on is more than many get.

Spend a little extra time with your dad in the next while, let him know he’s got your support even if you don’t use words to do it.

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.

So sorry for your loss, Charles.
Sincere condolences to you and your family.

Yes, I agree with you about going and hug those loved ones that you still have around. Time flies, accidents happen, illness... and then it is too late.
But it's good to hear that your grandma lived to such a great age. I hope that you and your family have good memories to hold onto.
Now, go take care of your dad. Hugs...
