Since parts are going on I guess I better start to document the progress.
Calling this the Back in Black build thread since I sold my 3rd Tacoma because of kids being born and the truck was just to small for a family of 4. I strayed away from my roots and bought a 2018 GMC Sierra with 10k miles. At 53k the truck started pouring oil from the oil pan. Maybe it wasn't a big deal? But I started to question it. Luckily I had a few thousand miles and 5 months before my warranty expired. The day I got my GMC back I drove to a few dealers and the one who offered the most took ownership and the hunt for another Toyota began.
Been a Toyota fan since my first vehicle. This is the 6th Toyota I’ve owned. Had a Tacoma build on tacomaworld few years ago.
Picked up my first tundra at the beginning of June. Had been searching for a few months and finally found this 2017 platinum with 53k miles. I had a plan of how I wanted to start this build from reading through this forum looking at all the options and builds so ordered the things I could to get me started for now. Probably will be slow progress from here on out!

The day I bought it 5/31/2022

He just started not long ago but the paint was terrible. It’s way better than what it was. He did a good job.

    Great build!

I have some Fox's ordered and trying to decide if I will replace my Dobinsons with them.

    Sparks Toyota parts.

I was going to get bilsteins but figured I’d want to upgrade later so I went ahead and jumped on the Fox kit. I had DCS order for the front also but it kept getting pushed back and they had a set of non adjusters in stock so I went with those for now. It rides good for the size tire

Yeah the delay is why I went ahead and ordered the Dobinsons. I got tired of waiting, but kept my Fox order coming just in case.
