Finally got allocation and looking at accessories and such. A bed cover is a must for me. I have looked at the Bakflip MX4, Undercover Flex, and the Extang 2.0 solid fold. Anyone have any of the three and can provide feedback?

I have an Undercover Flex that I'm pretty happy with on my 2014 DC.
It mounts best if you have OEM deck rail system, although you won't be able to use the big adjustable OEM tie downs.

With a Bedrug bed and tailgate mat, it is like having a 6' trunk..

I have the Bakflip MX4, great fit, install is pretty simple once you go to Bakflip's website and download the instructions for a 22 Tundra. Not sure on water tightness yet, only hosed washed the truck and everything was dry inside.

I’m deciding between the mx4 and the undercover armor flex. The armor flex allows full bed access without the cover propping against the cab and the mx4 doesn’t. Leaning towards the armor flex for that reason.

The MX4 can be completely removed very easily by removing two screws if the entire bed is needed.

I have the ArmorFlex and really like it. The LineX costing is really nice.

Does it rest on the cab when you have it fully opened

That is the only concern I have with that cover is it riding propped up on the cab. I can't see that it wouldn't scratch even with the foam pads.

For me I probably would never have it propped up maybe just for loading in the front.

Bought a Lomax after doing a lot is research...love it, very tight seal, no leaking, very low profile.

From WeatherTech, seems almost identical to LoMax. Can't be happier.

@fieldsjm does the Weathertech one come off pretty easily if you need the full length of the bed for something?

Yep same exact cover, same rail setup. Agricover out of North Dakota manufacturers Lomax. Thinking maybe they sell them to Weathertech? I paid $1080.00 shipped for mine 6.5 bed

Yes, fairy easy. Not sure the exact weight but I don't have any issues removing it on my own.

EDIT: According to the website, panels are approximately 50 lbs.

I think mine was about $1100 shipped....I got it back in April at a time where many brands were still tryng to ramp up production. It was readily available so I thought why not give it a shot.

UPDATE: I purchased this bed cover in May 2022 and due to gaps in the rubber seals between panels, in November 2022 I had to have it replaced under warranty. Well, this issue happened again this November (2023), but it was on 2 of the seals between the panels. The gaps were approximately 1-1.5 inches. I called and the MFR offered to replace under warranty or just give me a refund. I opted for the refund as I think this may be a design issue to have happened twice. I appreciate that the MFR offered a refund without issue.

For the time being , I am going to wait to see if I decide to replace the bed cover with another model or design...

I'm about a year in on my Bakflip MX4 and VERY happy with it.

I made a choice that I will just remove it completely (2 thumbscrews, 5 minutes) in the rare event that I need the full bed.

I wanted my racks to just clear the cab with surfboards, SUP's, etc. but still be as low as possible, so I can't fold the last panel up against the cab anymore. But it's so easy to remove I would prefer to take it off anyway just to retain visibility. I hauled a freezer with it folded up against the cab and I prefer being able to see a load in the back.

3rd on the Lomax. Bed is bone dry after going through a car wash, heavy downpour, etc.

Just convinced a co-worker to buy another one through @SantanaRealtruck for his F150.

Everything about the cover was great IMO. It's just a flaw that kept popping up. I really liked the bed cover but didn't want to have to replace every year for same issue. The customer support I received was second to none.

Shouldn't be your only concern actually. I've driven with the MX4 cover propped up against the cab twice at highway speeds. No scratches either time. The first time it handled it ok. The second I made it less than 10 miles before I thought the cover was going to fly off. It broke both thumb screws off their nut (luckily the nuts stayed on the bolts), and the prop stick created obvious stress marks on the cover. Now this was in 20+ MPH head wind, but I knew those little clips weren't going to hold it so I tried. BakFlip sent me a new hardware kit, but I am a bit annoyed I can't drive on the highway unless the cover is closed. I assume any tri-fold would be similar.

That is so strange. Did all three of them do this on the drivers side as the seal closest to the tailgate cannot be seen in the pictures. It like the seal just on one end/side shrunk or was cut too short.
