I have an all black CM Platinum, including the grill and grill insert, all factory. I'm not sure if its too much black and takes away from the 3rd gen front end look or not. So, I've been looking to buy a stock grill, in doing so, I found a guy that will trade me grills straight up. Wondering if it will look good or not.

I don't mind the set up, but I am partial to the look of the 2 tone grill as well. I don't have photoshop to see exactly what my set up would look like though. :annoyed:

Man that is a nice truck. Probably wont get too many people telling you to change it. Everyone seems to like the blacked out look. Me, not so much but either way it looks good. Had a black Silverado before this Tundra, never again will I buy another black vehicle. Not sure how you guys do it.

Aftermarket front and rear lights, added fog lights, bed liner, bull bar, bed cover, chrome door handles, chrome mirrors, side steps, AFE stage 2 Short RAM intake, Pioneer stereo, Alpine 6x9 front door speakers, 6in Pioneer round speakers rear door, 1 12in Pioneer sub with 1200 watt Sony Xplode amp. Toyota door logo courtesy lights and 20in black and machine rims on 275/60 Cooper HT plus M&S tires also painted red calipers. Also painted red Toyota emblem.
I'm fully into the custom looks and changing parts here and there to set the truck apart from other who have the same package. I love a slight mix of chrome. It just helps the truck stand out and shine. I say take the chance and swap.

Love a Black vehicle as long as someone else owns it....would hate to keep it looking nice! Not sure what you are talking with the grill....an insert might be nice, but if you are talking the whole surround I'd vote no. One of the things I don't like about most new Tundras is the chrome surround on the grill. I think the color matched one like on the Pros looks much better...the chrome (especially the part with the slot on the hood is too much in your face for my taste. Maybe a subtle change, like painting the grill a Gunmetal Grey or such would look good. I can relate to your "too much black" statement though as on my Pro Taco I wish they had left the door handles black like on the pre-production ones (yes, the mirrors were also black, but at least they left some black) simply to give some contrast to the all Inferno color. I wouldn't do a complete chrome stock grill as I don't like the look of them...I like the color matched ones better. But to each his own....I'm sure you would have many takers for a swap!

You got a nice looking truck. If you can't make up your mind flip a coin, heads you keep it, tails you change it, when the coin is in the air and you catch yourself hoping it lands a certain way you'll know which way your leaning. Haha personally I enjoying changing stuff just to change it. So even if I like it chances are I'll end up changing it just because I like to do mods.

I dipped my bumpers and grille however, I left the grey parts on the grille for that 2 tone look...

I personally would not trade. Yet. Try photo shopping the look you want first and see how you like it. Or buy another grille. That way way if you get tired of the look you can can swap the other back in. Truck looks bad ass already, but do it they way you want to. It is your truck now.
