Profile did not change

Set up my wife's profile. her own key and phone also.
She drove up to the Sierra mountains no problem. When I went to use my key the profile did not change nor could I get it to change. It seems you have to have an internet connection.
Does this mean only in areas with cell service does it work? A PROBLEM! This doesn't make sense given trucks are used everyplace. Toyota had no answer or the dealer???

If you haven't yet, take a look through the Multimedia Owners Manual for the profile setting up and recognizing steps. May find a fix?

I wouldn't imagine a cell signal would be needed for that function, but who knows...

There are 163 hits for the word "Profile" in the Toyota 2022 Tundra / Tundra HV Multimedia Owner's Manual (OM0C033U) that is listed on that webpage...

Fortunately, I do not have this issue, so I have not taken the time to diagnose it, but starting with the right manual should help...

 

Talked with Toyota and the person I talked to confirmed there is nothing in any manual that covers this problem. She did say that she believes that the profiles can only be processed from an internet connection. THIS DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE! So you can't use profiles unless you have an internet connection/cell service???

 

Not saying you were told incorrect information but I'm using profiles without any issues and I don't have an internet connection. Don't ask me how I got it to work it just works without any input from me. But, I believe I did have an internet connection when my profiles were initially setup.
