First new vehicle ever. First truck ever.

 

• Picked up this cool vehicle on Saturday, in Enid, OK (Northcutt Toyota). It will be my wife's semi-daily driver (and weekend/vacation adventure wagon).
• This pic was posted in a text message, just after we purchased it, as an FYI to our children (1 girl, 2 boys), and we titled the picture, "Silly boys, trucks are for girls!"
• All we added, so far, is the Retrax Pro XR (which we installed yesterday). Thank you to Santana at RealTruck.com for the great discount. We will also add a bed mat, and tow hooks. Our VIAIR compressor and Hi-Lift jack will always be stored in the bed.
• Tundras.com information/opinions were instrumental in helping us make our purchase decision.
• Road Tests: The drive home from the dealer was quiet, smooth and uneventful. On the way to work this AM, my wife drove the truck down an old, bumpy, brick-covered street in our town. She said, "I noticed a real difference in ride quality versus our Sequoia. Much better in the Tundra." Way to go Fox shocks!
• FYI: Ryan Martin and Chris Gordon at Northcutt Toyota were great to deal with.
• FYI: No vehicles are perfect, but Toyotas have been very good to our family. Many miles, many smiles, all over North America, to middle-of-nowhere locations. We have had multiple Toyotas go way over 100,000 miles. Two of my children drive Toyotas; Sienna and Highlander. (Sorry, this sounds like an advertisement.)

Did you have to remove the little crash bracket attachment on the inside of the front wheel well to fit those 37’s?

Would love to go 37’s at some point but I am reticent on removing that little piece.

So just wondering if a particular offset or maybe ride height alleviates that.

 

Is there two different shades of red on these Tundras or is it just the lighting!? I’ve seen many on the road and they look darker maroon like red vs this bright red

Lol no no, made it myself. Just a 2x6 I painted black and some cheap accessories from Ali. What I should of done was stick the vinyl on the other side, I only noticed the wood splint afterwards, darn it!

I swapped them out and the mirror caps to black to match

 

Howdy Howdy! Some seriously good looking setups in here! Found a platinum long bed with a few options about a month ago. So far have been loving it. Added a Retrax, the rack with awning, the upper spacer and leveling arm from the westcott kit (ordered wrong kit), and some 35x12.50r18 Ridge Grapplers on some old method +18's. Cheers!

All kinds of kit slapped on the tundra these days. Alucab is delayed but being told it's coming end of august, maybe. Either way, happy with the build so far!

The 275/65/20's on the 8.5" TRD off-road wheels look just perfect. Looks better than if mounted on the 8" wide sport or limited wheels.

Good news is the pro lift is in! Bad news is it’s not going on until next Thursday and tires next Saturday… let the wait/anticipation begin

 

Is this the regular Westcott pre-load collar lift but built for the Pro?

How much does it lifts the front/back?

 

2.5 front and rear 1.1 I think, don’t quote me, it’s been a few weeks since I looked lol

 

The 6.5 month wait is finally over. Traded my Taco in for quite the upgrade. Loving the truck so far besides the front grill being 3 different colors but everything else is great.
