I set out on my vinyl experiment after seeing what you had done with yours. I was hoping to get it done in clear matte vinyl so the original letters could be left and still be back-lit. The problem with the clear matte was the uneven seam in the piece creates an air bubble that I couldn't get out. That wouldn't be an issue with black. The other issue is I'm using the MESO kit and the shift gate dosent overlap on top. It sits flush. This greatly complicated the cut around the trim piece. So after 3 different vinyl attempts I said f*ck it and sprayed it. A color vinyl piece could be made and precut but that seam, IMO, would prevent any piece that was clear or translucent from being an easy clean install.

Makes sense. The way I look at it now, vinyl would be okay if someone wants a different color. To get rid of the gloss suncatcher as a primary goal, I recommend the matte clear spray. I'm glad that I ran across that post

I really like the Tundra door sill decals. To fix that bubble in the "R" so it doesn't tear later put a hole on one edge of the bubble using a small needle, then use your finger to push the air out starting from the other side of the bubble and push toward the hole. If you make a small hole it won't even be noticeable once finished. I'm not nit-picking, just letting you know one way to get a bubble out. The shifter boot looks great too!

These came but they appear to be the wrong set. The brake and dead pedal work but the e-brake and gas pedal don't fit. They were $34 and look to be high quality and look great! Now I need to find the gas and e-brake.

Nothing big. Found this usb gooseneck light in Amazon. It has 6 leds and has low med and high and also has a redlight setting to preserve night vision. I always thought with a nice big center console and now with a lockerdown safe in it that these trucks should have a small light inside. The dome light just doesn’t cut it especially with my mardi gras head in the way. And my 54 year old eyes cant see shit in the dark anymoreA3194D22-520E-420F-8D38-10B0067F4E99.jpg

Changed my oil, attempted to install RCI transmission skid with cat guards but was unsuccessful. How in the hell is one supposed to get their hands on the two forward bolts to tighten where front skid and transmission skid overlap? Starting to regret canceling my Valhalla Shield order.

Edit: I figured out what I was doing wrong. I'm a little slow apparently. :(

Wow! How did that happen? Locked with big tires and gunning it?

By the way, that’s impressive your Tundra was able to tow it up that hill, too.

Pardon my ignorance. Are you asking about the rear bolts on the skid plate? I know for the Valhalla I had to come in from the front of the truck with my legs out under the nose. Arm from behind where it needs to be, wiggle around some, and you should find the spot you need.

If I have the wrong location, I'm sorry. Its been a bit since I did the install.

I don’t have the RCI front skid plate, but I do have the TRD Pro front skid plate and came across a similar challenge. I laid down flat with my feet towards the rear of the truck and my head almost underneath those two rear TRD Pro skid plate bolts. From there squeezed my arm through the lower control arm with a box wrench to catch the top nut. With my other arm I tightened the bolt using a socket wrench. It was a tight fit but doable.

E50 extinguisher, Valhalla Plates, ESP Storage, Chrome Delete, Pwr Tailgate Lock,
It is not just RCI. Those of us with big mittens have a hard time getting our hands and arms up on top. For me thankfully there was a smaller fellow at the auto hobby shop when I was on the lift that was able to get his arm and hand up there to hold the box end wrench. Without his help I would not have been able to get my Valhalla skid and front cat plate bolted on. The rear cat plate had enough room for me to hold the wrench myself.

Yeah, not ignorant at all. The two slots on front of the transmission skid that slide into the rear of the engine skid. Instructions say to undo bolts about half an inch to slide transmission skid in. Problem is with the cat guards on there is no room to tighten them back. Guess I’m gonna have to holler at a kid with little arms since my meat hooks aren’t getting in there.

You are quite the contortionist. My luck I would either get stuck or get a hamstring cramp while under there. Thanks for suggestions guys.

@Clemshady I definitely felt like I could have gotten my arm stuck but I wanted my plates installed so I said "screw it". If I'm stuck under the truck, they ain't stealing my cats!
