I just spit my drink out all over my laptop on that gut punch!!!

 

The same people that drove the price and availability of good whiskey (particularly bourbons) to out of reach levels

 

No one told them whisky has gluten in it?

 

Funny story about those.
We use to host dinner parties with friends. These things just came out about the time it was our turn. I cranked up the smoker and put two boxes on. Really slow nice white smoke and temp inside the smoker was about 200, put them on frozen and turned them 30 minutes in. Smoked for a hour. Folks started showing and asking what we're having.
"It's smoked bubba burgers or Papa Johns, will know shortly."
They turned out great btw.

 

While I agree it’s probably some gimmick I would also say it’s amazing how many places gluten hides in different ingredients. A lot of binding agents contain gluten. We’ve learned this the hard way having a kiddo who has celiacs. Whenever possible we try to only buy pre-packaged products that are labeled GF.

 

True enough. Before a celiac gentleman joined the men's cooking class at our church, I never considered the fact that something like cream of mushroom soup might have gluten in it.

 

Funny you should mention that as I have been in big trouble a couple of times for buying cream of mushroom soup that wasn’t GF. We are lucky that it was diagnosed at age 3 and that it’s 2022 and we have lots of pretty good GF options.

They have these at Costco also.... they're pretty damn good for a frozen patty.... really tasty.

 

I go brioche if I’m in a hurry and I’m at the store. Or I hit up my local bakery to get the good stuff
