    Oh nice!
I have a Leer on my current truck, and love it.
Was waiting for Tundra availability before I even committed to a new truck.

Recently, I saw some bad feedback on Leer. Personally, mine has been great, but some F-150 owners have been reporting paint defects, and to fix it they have to have their topper removed and sent back to Leer, which takes a long time.
How's these new ones? Defect free?

I'd be unhappy to have defects after paying $4k....damn they are expensive!

Mine was originally $2500 and that's with LED lighting, carpeted, reinforced roof and Thule rails....I think it's the 100XQ if I remember correctly.

    Looks good!!
Did you bed-liner or some other way coat your wheel well moldings?

Same here, I've owned several Leer 180's with carpeted/Thule/LED Lighting and only cost ~ $2500/ea. So for an 100XL or 100XR for $3500-4000 nowadays - OUCH!!
I just ordered a cheapie tonneau and will look for a temp shell from a Silverado like posted earlier on this thread. Then get my custom colored and such Leer/other down the road.

The F-150 guys were saying that the ARE brand seems better nowadays.
I'll have to see how everyone likes their Leer cap, I'm still "team Leer" but not against switching it up if ARE is better or cheaper.

I know just as many folks with ARE issues. Leer’s are made in 1 of 4 factories- IN, CA, PA and Mexico. Mine is coming from Cali- first off the line

Looks great! Can you possibly post a full truck side-on shot? Looking to get a sense of the lines of the full truck with the cap. Looks like this is a 100XL; anyone know if they're offering a 100XQ for order yet?

No XQ yet for the tundra. My contact at leer steered me away from the xq on the prior gen and for the 22 in the future

I am curious as well as to when the RSI smartcaps for the 5.5 become available. Wondering how the digital rearview mirror will work since RSI has the window into the bed to use the light from the third brake light.

I have a 5.5 smart cap on order from a local dealer. When I placed the order back in May, I was told July/August delivery date. I just checked earlier this month, and now I'm told Sept/Oct.

I had been in touch with both RSI and our local dealer back in May, and they said at least 6 months, probably more.

Installed Friday, very pleased thus far! They said Leer didn’t have the lock wiring harness available yet, so still waiting on that for the key fob lock integration. First impression was that the bottom side edges stick out a bit from the truck frame, but looks like it’s due to the shape of the Tundra, so not sure how else it’s could/should look. Don’t really notice anymore after a few days. Now just trying to figure out what size platform roof rack to get :)

I have had only ARE forever. I was just told by my local dealer that the ARE mold was tested and failed so they aren't close to producing anything for '22 Tundra's yet and they are 5 months out on other orders. For whatever that's worth.

I have significant need to get a canopy on my truck in time for winter so I am considering a Leer. Does anyone know what the lead times are looking like on Leer's for '22 Tundras? In your opinion what Leer model looks the best on these new trucks. The 100XR's I am seeing in posts here look good but I like the looks of the XQ better (I don't love the way the top of XL kicks up toward the rear). Are they making the 100XQ's for these trucks? Has anyone gotten one?

Ok just saw these comments. Anyone know if the XQ is coming soon? Also, why we're you steered away from the XQ previously?

I have an XQ on my current truck.

I like it a lot, it's the best looking one, and mine has the roof rails, carpeting and LED interior lighting.

Only downside is that the stylish side windows don't open far enough imo.
We sleep in ours when camping, and in warm weather it sucks that the windows basically only tilt out a very little bit.

I also don't like that Leer will not sell replacement parts direct to customer.

That is nice. Seeing this in my color made me pick up the phone and pull the trigger on the quote I got last month.

2 questions for those of you who already have your Leer shells:

    1. What was the lead time between order and delivery?

    2. Is there an indent in the fiberglass where the Leer logo goes as in previous models? 2bak said he ordered his without logo's but clearly in his photo's there is no indentation where the logo would be. Harder to make out in the other's photos. I'm assuming they moved away from having the indented logo, hopefully.

100xq is a long ways out according to my guy at Leer HQ, he also steered me away from it due to the window design that is more prone to failure and leaks

    see above

    1) totally depends, the molds have been at a few of their factories for over a month, California just got their 2 weeks ago and mine is one of the first rolling off the line- I’ll have it in 3-4 weeks in Idaho

    2) no idea, it wasn’t an option that I was offered, but mine is a mild leer marketing piece

I was told only 100- XR and XLs available now, I went with XR because I just don't see the point of the side windows on the XL or XQ, they seem to lack function, and superficially they don't match the rest of the truck/window style IMO. I also think those packages come at a higher cost? I could be wrong about that though.
Great to hear, I had the same thing happen when I saw someone here with bigger tires, glad we can all support each others bad buying habits :)

    1. Ordered June 1, delivered July 18, installed July 22. (also answers @IslandStyle 's other question)

    2. No indent from what I can tell, see pic
