Softopper installed! Was able to fit a 2.5 gen model no problem. Zero fitment issues whatsoever!

Hey! I was hoping someone with a retrax xr could help me out with some measurements. Can someone send me the height from the bottom of the bed to the bottom of the box where the drain plugs are, I'd also be ok with the distance from the top of the box to the point where the drain line starts.

I was thinking of researching creative ways to run the tubing like some folks showed earlier in this thread. I just can't find the page they did it on.

If nobody else takes you up on this, I will. I have the retrax, just waiting on the truck.

The bottom of the retrax to the bottom of the bed is just shy of 9.5”. Not sure if that’s the number you’re looking for

@Bennza Thanks for the measurement. I was just looking to get an idea on what my options are for routing the drain tubes from the retrax box. I like the idea of it not being at the foot of the bed so I can slide stuff in and out and not interfere with my payload. And I still wanted to make sure it's adequately sloped so it will drain on its own.

yeah I’ve seen people drill holes near the tie downs and others just drill out the existing holes. I just installed my retrax but I haven’t routed the drains yet. I’ll probably use the existing drain holes for now.

I drilled out above the tie downs, so drain tube runs straight down. Works great, No pics but can get some if wanted. Not a retrax, a Bakflip, but…drains are drains

Yep, I just did this and got the X4S for like 35% below retail. To good of a deal to pass up in my opinion.

I ordered mine 7/2 and have received three shipping updates which have pushed the shipping date back 1-2 weeks each time. It is now supposed to ship between Friday, Aug. 12 - Wednesday, Aug. 17. But I would not be surprised if it was delayed further.

Also, does anyone have any roof top tent rated rack recommendations that would be compatible with the x4s?

Not sure if this tonneau is on their list, but check out Billie Bars... They has a list of covers on their site that are compatible, and you may be able to reach out to them directly to find out if it's not on the list...

May I ask when did you order? Is estimated delivery date or actual shiping date? I ordered 6/14 and still waiting, they updated shipping date 3 times... currently mine is 8/10 - 8/15...

There's a video on youtube which the guy was able to pry it open using a crowbar with a significant amount of force. At that point if someone is trying that hard to steal your stuff, they can smash your window to access the cab as well.

Update on Bakflip F1. After waiting 2 months, the warranty replacement for the original leaking one arrived. I put it on this weekend and had it out in its first rain today. Unfortunately, this one leaks as well; it doesn't leak as bad, but it leaks all the way across the panel seams closest to the tailgate and cab. I can't believe other people aren't having issues with the Bakflip models leaking.

Before anyone replies tonneau covers aren't watertight, the two covers I've had leak all the way across from the seams, not a couple drips at the tailgate. I posted pics earlier in this thread, the bed gets soaked in the rain.

That sucks. Sorry to hear it. Dealer told me that my OEM is within spec for the amount of leaking I’m getting as well (same as you). Garbage if you ask me!

I'm not sure what established "spec" he is referring. I called Bakflip today and they say no water should come through the seams. The only leaking would be tailgate and edges, if it leaked at all. I am again sending photos to them. In all honesty, it seems like the issue could be resolved by sealing the edges of the seams with a fine bead of caulk on the underside of the cover. I may end up going this route, we'll see what they say/offer upon reviewing the newest photos. I suppose my problem with this is paying a premium for a product not functioning as it should; I shouldn't have to make it work, so to speak. I hate to say it, I kinda regret returning the Extang Exceed, it was watertight, but had flaws of it's own.

Yeah, My MX4 leaks too and has lots of manufacturing issues and they have been very unresponsive to me to date. Not a happy customer.
