Tundras live: Agree to disagree (a lesson in civility)

Here are a few pics from camping last weekend. Stayed at a nice KOA at Lyon's Ferry. Nothing to do in the area unless you have a boat. The state park on the other side of the river is overrun with geese, so the beach and water were nasty. Went for few hours one day and never went back. Ended up driving to a few local towns (closest is 30min away) and took a day trip to walk the oldest around Wash State University to check out the campus.

Palouse Falls...want to go back in the spring and really see it running

The sunsets at this KOA were amazing. It's hot AF in this area of the state in the summer, but a huge rock outcropping directly to the West of the park brought the shade over an hour before official sunset. Made it nice to walk around and take some pics.

 

It's been a crazy week at work and I haven't even had time to download my pics from Qatar yet. Work shuts off Airdrop for security reasons, so I've got to email them in small batches. Zero time for that crap, so I'll post them in a few weeks. I'm flying out this evening to the Dominican Republic for a few days, then coming home just in time to go out camping again. So see you guys in a few weeks. Maybe...more trips are already being discussed.

No shit! I was just out front talking to my neighbor, it's cloudy and breezy here. My cheapo weather station says it's dropped to 88. My neighbor said it's nice out, feels like winter.

 

88 identifies as winter around these parts!

 

Didn't see the - at first glance was gona say 30 shit that's gotta be a nice spring day in your parts

 

And tonight begins the long hitch. 12 graveyard shifts, 12 hours each, one fat man and all the Excedrin and caffeine he can handle.

 

Throw some Ghost drinks in there and I can relate!

 

Sadly, they are all made with coffee as an ingredient. The orange one sounds good, but not bubblegum.

 

I still have yet to come across a Ghost drink anywhere.

 

Same, but I quit looking once I knew I can't have them. Could have been right in front of me and I didn't see it. lol

 

Nice snack for the latter part of the shift. Anyone else ever do Coke and peanuts like this?

The cola a peanuts is a salty sweet thing, and the peanuts absorb the soda. I don't know what gatorade would do to cheese, though. I mean, if you're going hard athletically then I guess it's extra protein?
