Track your Tundra when in "F" status on the train

@bballjames what in the world is going on with yours? I would have switched dealerships lol or allocations at least

 

Ya I have no idea. It is crazy though. I think I am going to call the dealership and back out. Maybe if they have another allocation switch to that one. But it is a little insane…

 

Just heard from my dealer. Truck was built on 6/20. Was held up at the factory for the recall and finally came off hold this week. They are telling me to expect it by the 30th of July. I asked if it’s still at the factory or has it finally made it to rail depart and they stated they weren’t sure. At least the recall was finally dealt with ! I have a feeling it’s still at the factory though…

 

I gotta an update!!

Salesman just texted me that my Tundra has had the recalls completed and released from the QC hold!

Dealer arrival dates 7/21-7/26!
Fingers crossed!

Not sure what thread to ask this;
Does anyone know when a temp VIN becomes a permanent VIN?
I’ve read temp VINs cannot be tracked.

As I understand it, temp vins are assigned once a truck has been allocated or scheduled to be built. Once the truck is actually built the temp vin turns in to a permanent vin. But the two vins are different and not the same. A temp vin will have a alphabetical letter in the last five or six digits of the vin.

 

I appreciate the answer. I just need to wait it out.

 

Recall shows as completed on mine, assuming it was processed at the rail yard. I think it initially arrived or was unloaded around the 10th of the month.

Thats weird. Thats the vin i have on my paperwork. I was told it arrived to the dealer proccessing plant on 7/11/22. But now they have no new info.

Love my Tundras, but this process is BEYOND frustrating. Truck is tied up in QC hold at the port waiting for camera recall. I guess….

 

I'm in the same boat. Selling my 2011 today in hopes that it shows up soon.

 

I did the same thing... going on 2 weeks with out a daily driver.

 

Same boat..truck held up in QC at railhead for the past 2 weeks for a software upgrade that could have been done at the dealer in 45min...frustrating for sure
