Limited I force max, 4 months all together but didn’t put a deposit until they had one allocated and 1 1/2 month from allocation to delivery.

 

Just got mine a little over two weeks ago and couldn’t be happier.

 

I put money down in late October or November. They didn’t start building the hybrid engines until April though.

 

Thank you Matthinkle. I realize there are folks on this forum who have waited longer then me so in other words I need to temper my frustration. August 1st will be 5 months wait time for me (1794 4x4 non hybrid) and still no allocation. I'm in the Atlanta area, in other words not in Canada (who are waiting longer) or in a smaller market that by it's very nature get's fewer allocations. ARRRGGGHHH!!! Ok, I'm done complaining...
I'm happy for you folks who ARE enjoying your new Tundras and DO APPRECIATE you sharing your pics...it gives me hope and something to look forward to. Keep'em coming.

 

Got my Platinum 4x4 5.5 bed a month ago really love the truck just a couple things I wish were better.
1. There is sometimes throttle lag and other times there isn't so I'm not sure if this is an internal problem but I wish it was just more consistent and didn't have any lag, when switching to sport mode or sport plus there isn't any lag at all which is awesome but shouldn't have to be always changing drive modes.
2. The A/C and heater seem kind of weak and when you turn the air on its annoying how it doesn't default to the A/C you have to push the A/C button (I know first world problems and it takes a second to just push the A/C button but wish it would just default to it being on like other Toyota models) If there is a setting to change this please let me know as I live in Los Angeles and the summer gets real brutal lol
3. Bed seems to sound like it rattles hard when going over some bumps not sure if that's just standard or maybe needs to be tightened more.
4. The biggest issue is definitely the MPG. I think Toyota really misled us into thinking this v6 would provide better MPG and that couldn't be farther from the truth I'm getting horrible MPG around 14 with highway and city driving.
5. Infotainment system is a bit buggy but I know those will be fixed with the over the air software updates. I know Toyota really cares about this tundra and has been releasing the recall fixes very quickly and its very convenient to see it all through the Toyota app and schedule to bring it in to my local dealer to address the recalls.
Other than those minor things its a solid truck and I love it. Ordered the Westcott designs lift kit and plan on putting bigger tires and new wheels and making it look real awesome.

Im a first time truck owner so Im sorry if my qualms might just be normal truck things but thanks for taking the time to look!

 

A/C can be set via the Infotainment settings to default to A/C on all the time.

Bed rattle is more likely to be the tailgate…put a couple of pieces of foam rubber on each side to quiet it.

 

My bed rattles a lot too I would like to see an actual picture of where to put the foam rubber pieces, I did noticed the wires holding the tail gate when is Down are too loose when is closed.

my mpg is somehow bad too 15-16 mpg combined and that’s with the I-force max but I was getting less with My Tacoma.

 

How do I find the setting in the infotainment system if you dont mind sharing would greatly appreciate it.

Anyway you can tell me where to find that setting to default to A/C always on? would really appreciate that.

 

This is actually my first truck after wanting one since I was about 8 years old. I'm 38 now. In some ways, it only seemed fitting that I would end up having to wait months longer than I expected. But hey, what's a few months when we're talking about 30 years?

 

If it makes you feel any better, i've been waiting now 7 months for a non-hybrid Platinum LB. i've been told i'm no 1 out of 15 on order for this configuration at this dealer. Started at no 2 and moved up one spot. Every month I check and no allocation. I was told they have not gotten allocation for this model in 3 months. I feel your pain.

Contest through work and one of our suppliers. Truck was paid for 100%, including tax, title, and 1099 taxes. I'll have to cover the taxes on the check to cover the 1099 taxes...approximately $7K out of my pocket.

My first Tundra ... upgraded to BFG KO2 275/65 within the first week

 

Wow that is a 275/65/20? I’m buying same size this week and thought would look bigger. I love your look don’t take that saying wrong. I just am really glad I didn’t do 275/60/20.

 

Thanks! Discount Tire was concerned at first they would rub being 34's but after they tested it and did not rub said there was plenty of room left.

 

Oh yeh that is what we saw and were shocked at the 275/65/20 and the clearance. Looks great.

 

The long wait sucks for all of us for sure. I'm wondering if/when Toyota is not able to deliver the 2022 to folks who have a deposit with their dealer and get a 2023 instead, will it be at the 2022 price negotiated with the dealer? I don't know but I think we're ~3 months away and I'm not going to be happy if the dealer doesn't honor the price if I'm put in that pickle. BTW - Love your truck, I'm hoping to get the WCP on a 1794 instead.

U still good? Any running or issues? Your not lifted or leveled right?

 

All is well so far, no lift or level as of yet but I may do a front level later. There is no rubbing now so I am happy with it. I perhaps could have gone up to 285/65 but did not want to chance it. I also put on an RC tonneau cover at the same time. The RCI engine, transmission, and transfer case skid plates with cat guards have arrived, and plan to get them in tomorrow.

 

As long as no rub I’m happy I will do a small level but didn’t want to have to right away
