I would highly suggest two packs if you have a lot of stuff for whatever reason.

A small well organized one for the OH NO I NEED THAT NOW!! scenario and whatever other giant backpack people want to carry stuffed with things to dig for. No sense muddling up trauma kit life saving stuff with boo boo fixers.

Yeah, definitely. I won't have a 'boo boo pack' (a can of bandaids with a dumdum sucker fits that bill); but I can imagine the emergency preparedness kit being separate from the trauma kit.

    Too many, but not enough....
I want 5.29s too with 33s, how does it drive without a trailer? What kind of mileage do you get?

Uh, I'd be a single man after that happening. My wife NEVER gets to drive my Tundra. I mean, once, but I was hammered and pretty sure I was mumbling to her to be careful

Not today but over the last few weeks: Cat Shield, brake pads, tail light decal. Trailered a car from MA to Murfreesboro TN and back (2200 miles). Then went to Cape Cod and brought kayaks and bikes. Tundra performed flawlessly!IMG_1266.jpg IMG_1265 (1).jpg IMG_1262.jpg

Finished spray painting my entire bed with rust oleum bed liner paint. Took all week. I will put the rubber mat back in, in a few days. I spent approximately $150 on paint/supplies and did a section each day after work. I’m happy with it. Line X was to much and I don’t need that hardcore of a liner. I rarely haul anything.

Quote above from the What's Your Latest Purchase thread. So I went to Maaco today to drop the corner off, and they say they can't paint it because of the texture on it. I told him the originals I bought were color matched by Toyota (or a body shop they work with) and they only sell this end in black and all has to be prepped and painted. He said if I purchased the part with a VIN it'd come color matched... He proceeded to show me a bumper someone dropped off saying it has to be smooth no texture like that one, so I asked if they could sand/smooth it out and said something about outgassing.

Not sure if he just didn't want to do it or had bad experiences in the past. Even Sparks says (https://www.sparksparts.com/p-3rd-gen-tundra-front-paintable-bumper-end-caps-pktunfr) they don't come painted at all (which I already knew). I took another look at my cracked one when I got home and it definitely is the same thing, can even see the texture slightly if you look at the right angle. So what now, go to a different shop? Or return it and get the expensive color-matched ones from Sparks and keep the other as a spare for that side? :frusty:

There's only four part numbers for a Right Front bumper end. The first one is with the holes for Sonar. The next one is Chrome with holes for Sonar. Then Chrome without sonar holes, and finally plain with no holes for sonar. There are not any separate part numbers with a paint-code for pre-painted from factory.

This is what I saw when I ordered it and knew that, but I didn't feel like arguing with the guy that it indeed can and has been painted. Wish I would have taken the old one with me as a 'here's proof'.

Don't waste time with Maaco - go to a real body and paint shop. They charge more but that is because they are professionals and not Maaco hacks.

Ok I'll take a look around. Never had anything painted before and it was a name I recognized. I've also thought about taking it to my local dealership and see what they say (have a recommended shop), but that might be opening another can of worms...

See if they have a body shop and if they don’t ask them which one they use. The shop the dealer uses should do quality work.

Installed a Pedal Commander today. Easy plug and play install.

It definitely has an influence on throttle response. I started out at City +2 and settled on City 0. I think it handles shift points smoother than stock when you find your sweet spot... Interesting gadget

Love it. Much happier with the weight of the Falkens now, and it put towing to just a step above stock. Around town, fabulous! Fun, yet practical, especially with the powertrax grip pro. Without it I could see it being a little too much especially in wet weather. Highway is great. It is much happier and runs ~2200 @ 70mph, ~2300 @ 75mph. Just sits in 6th and pulls. No more downshifts or hunting.

I’m considering the same except I have to rip the old hack job out… that’s the part I’m most on the fence about paying someone to do.

Toyota paid the rental fees of their 2021 Tacoma loaner/rental for most of the 8 months.
