I am guilty. I have never waxed it. It spends it’s time outta the weather when not hunting or Colorado Trips. I should wax it though, you guilt me.

It'll need more than wax. I was in the same boat as you, but worse. Just took a once over with a random-orbit polisher a medium-correction pad, and some Meguair's Ultimate Polish. Other guys around here with white trucks got the same result. Yours looks a helluva lot better than ours did! (link in my signature will show you mine - it was CHALK)

I recently retired. I need to learn how to give it a good wax/buffing maybe huh? It sets in a shop most of the time. It is used solely for hunting and Colorado/Moab trips. Paint is great on it I think, but I am no paint guy, and admittedly a non wax guy too!

Just seen your photos. Nice truck too! My paint is still shining. But I will wax it when we get back this time. I do wash it and keep it clean with car wash wax at the local car wash.

    Great looking truck!
I just added a front hitch to mine, which is primarily to haul the shuttle motorcycle when I have a raft trailer on the back. I am thinking about getting a winch and hitch cradle. Which winch and mount do you have? Looks like the harbor freight mount, but a bunch of people make one that looks like it. How do you like it? Did you run power to the rear, too?

I need to replace my sway bar links. How are the Maxx swaybar links holding up? Looking at Overland Custom Designs links as well.

The Suspension Maxx links definitely hold up a lot better than OEM or links from the parts store. They do tend to loosen over time though and start to make clunking sounds. Go with the extended option if you're lifted.

Yes on power to front and rear, as well as an extension to my trailer. Badlands Apex 12500, I ordered the cradle Amazon. I use a trailer on front to pull Animals up on it when hunting. It also Carrie’s a rack on front sometimes when hunting, keeps the blood of coyotes and such out my truck.

Here is what I used to run the winch on front and rear. I encased it inside a thick hose and ran it along the frame hidden and tucked in. I called the guy who sells it and got extra connectors and a jumper cable set 20ft. The cable has some very thick coating, but wanted extra abrasion protection. I als added a battery disconnect switch in front next to radiator on the right side to keep power off till needed. Now I can power winch on my three different trailers too. I also can solar charge the battery’s on the truck when out dry camping/hunting. I get lots of questions on the front hitch whe the basket is in it! But it is so handy for keeping stank/blood/guts out of my truck. The basket will carry upwards of 10 coyote’s, couple deer etc! That is why I needed stronger front suspension, with the Bilstein Springs and 5100 shocks.

I've always wanted to see what your truck would look like w/the bronze finish Methods. I mean, I've got my own pet peeve about blackout wheels on white trucks (it works better if trim/bumper is same), but whatever.

Anyway, I suck at photoshop, so this really isn't a good example, the blacks inside the wheels should be toned down and I'm not willing to invest the time. But this is roughly in the ballpark, shittily. I think the color needs more orange/copper tone to look right. This is too muted.

My wheels are actually gunmetal with black lip. They are a little dirty at the moment. I don't really like black wheels as much as I used to.

Yeah, that's the look I'm talking about. There are a few out there doing it. There are two looks, one is more of an antiqued bronze, the other being copper or bright copper, and another being more yellow gold.

I prefer that pic you posted as my favorite look on white trucks vs. hypersilver wheels (which I also love). Smoked looks pretty good too, if not too dark.

Here's another I found that I like. White trucks look awesome with copper, I think. Wrong generation, but similar color concepts...

White trucks do not look awesome with copper. Do the gun metal. or gray/silver/gunmetal/black and or combo

Thanks for all the info. I used mine for the first time last weekend to carry the shuttle motorcycle on the front with the raft trailer in the back. I am going to wire it up for a winch, too. And because this is a photo thread, here is my truck a couple weekends ago while camping.

Okay so I do happen to have a picture of my 2000 as well. The one far left. The two OTHER silver trucks are what now make up my current work truck. As well as a rear and leafs out of my blue 01 parts truck.

Here's my '05 Tundra shortly after I got it (a few weeks ago). The roof it oxidized, and she needs some TLC. I've since replaced the headlights with some after markets and threw in some Hella halogens. I have a handful of practical mods planned, nothing too crazy. :)
