I'm thinking of purchasing some tow mirrors for my 2010 tundra. I saw a set on Amazon for just under 2 bills. Does anyone know if these are comparable to original equipment? How much wider view do these offer when extended? I have a set of clamp-ons that don't help all that much and need some that will give me a wider view.

I really liked my OEM ones, and the quality was there.

We have a few vendors here that are very competitive in pricing. Check them out.

Yes, it really does help with the view.

I miss my OEM tow mirrors... :(

    1) They make the truck look more BA
    2) The quality of the OEM mirror is top notch
    3) Better out the sides visibility is great.

Why don't I have them... new truck came with BSM, so I'm using that for now, but I think down the road the Tow Mirrors will return.

I just ordered a pair (Should be here on the 12th). They are aftermarket (might be the same as the one's your looking at). I'll be installing them the day they arrive so I'll let you know how it works out. If it works well I'll post some photos so you can decide. Mine is a newer model but if you use Amazon's Part Finder feature you can plug in your trucks information and it will tell you if the item is compatible or not. I'll let you know what I find!

I would go OEM when it comes to tow mirrors imo.

Some members reported vibration with after-market tow mirrors. Others don't seem to have vibration (or they don't complain about it). I went with Toyota tow mirror because I could not take the chance with my children (two of them are prone to get car-sick). Toyota mirrors are rock-solid.

I was lucky enough to already have OEM tow mirrors on my Tundra. I've sort of abused them when wheeling up in the mountains. They can take the occasional limb hit and handle rough "roads" with no vibration. Should I somehow ever break one I'd spend the extra scratch and go with OEM replacement.

On my previous Tundra's I had tow mirrors from Amazon and they worked pretty well. I am looking for a set for my new one, I like how they look on a lifted Tundra.

So these are the mirrors I ordered from Amazon (Warehouse Deal). I figured for that price, if they don't work out I'll just return them. Here's hoping they don't vibrate too much!

I can't seem to locate those. The ones I looked at are around $200. I really don't need the signal. My originals are power adj. and heated only. OEM would be great but very expensive.

I went with OEM. Great quality. Not a fan of the nomconvex (or whatever it's called) passenger mirror, but love the convex mirrors on the bottom.

I went ahead and ordered the ones I saw on Amazon. Got them today. They look good. I won't get a chance to install them until Saturday. I'll let everyone know how they fit when I can. They look just like the ones in the pics above.

Installed mirrors this mourning. Piece of cake! Fit very nice and everything works as it should. I used the old gaskets as they were of better quality. They do have a little vibration but on the roads here in north Missouri everything shakes and vibrates. I backed up to my camper and could see down both sides as needed. Overall I'm very happy and can't imagine the original equipment doing any better especially for the extra cost.

I purchased after-market mirrors and love them. They look bad-ass and they make towing easier and safer. They are electric, heated, and have the marker/turn indicator. They ran me $400 for the set from an after-market dealer. If I remember correctly, the OEM mirrors ran $800-900 for a set. Mine are rock solid and work like champs!

I paid $196.00 for mine and the same mirrors are listed for $179.95 now. Go figure! Mine are power adjust and heated with marker and signals. I'm still happy even though I could have saved $20.00 if
I had waited a few days.

    Not nearly enough room here!
When I bought mine (I can't spell PURCHASE:devil:) I ordered a pair from E-Bay first. The power adjustments were erratic and there was too much vibration. Bought a pair of OEM's from TRD Sparks and they work as they should. As was said here, some buyers have had good luck and saved some money with the aftermarket mirrors.

Finally got mine in. Amazon royally screwed up my order and long story short I ended up with both mirrors for $65.00. Installed them and they work great! Minor vibration but tolerable. Keep an eye out for Amazon Warehouse Deals. Now to find a Bed Cap...

Thanks! I tightened them down a bit more and they seem to be fine. I'll keep you posted bc I'm about to take them across country.
