So i have a firestone 4164 kit that i plan to install on Papa Smurf. If i remember right someone said they installed them through the coils with a little soap and water. I have a couple questions. one did you also cut the bump stop with it still installed? and has anyone installed them with the westcott designs kit?

Having installed this same kit according to the instructions I'd say the way suggested here seems like a LOT more work. I'd recommend pulling the coils and bumps and reinstalling with the bags. It'll by much easier. Not sure what you'd use to cut the stops while on the truck. The rubber is pretty beefy.

Has anyone spoke to Firestone to see if they are going to have a 2022 specific bag (a bit longer? Higher rated?) and what timeline is?

True, I was referring more to access issues. It ain't exactly wide open under there.

That is true, if your careful it can be done, I’ve done it on our 4runner with the coils still under the truck

I didn't want to wait for them so I installed this kit. Now that the airlines are routed through the trimmed stops, it should be pretty simple to install different bags without any disassembly of the rear suspension. Unless they come up with something vastly different than the 4164 kit, but I doubt that'll be the case.

There is more room on the Tundra than the Runner so you should be golden.
