So far, the Tundra is getting better fuel milage than the Tacoma

There are definitely some nostalgia moments. I will miss the capability of the Tacoma off-road, but realistically, in almost four years I only went a handful of times so the luxury of the Tundra vs. the Tacoma is huge.

With the Tacoma I had a 91 octane tune, lift, and 295/75r16 tires so I was getting 15 MPG with 85% highway driving. With the Tundra, although babying it, I'm getting almost 22MPG and I get to use 87 octane, so pretty happy with everything. I'm hoping for a little better after the break in period.

I see the resemblance! I loved the look of the Tacoma, but with the addition of a baby I needed the extra space. With a rear facing car seat I had to put the front passenger all the way up.

You did the exact same thing I did and got (I think) the exact same truck. I can empathize with you.. it's nice coming from the Tacoma. I loved my Tacoma and wish it well, but I *really* love the Tundra so far.
