just a replacement from stock really, thinking fox or bilstein. It’s a completely stock truck so I don’t need 2.5s or anything crazy like that.

So can anyone talk me into taking a 3-6 month integration assignment at the shipyard in Pascagoula, MS?

I’m looking it up and other than if I were 20 years younger and wanted to drive to Mardi Gras for the weekend or visit my sis in St. Pete Florida, I can’t think of a good reason to go.

Don’t ask what time of year, because it’s always at the most miserable time weatherwise when it’s cheapest.

Did you mean MS? I initially thought you were talking about a city in Michigan and I was going to say do it. MI gets a bad name because of Detroit but there are a lot of other areas that are awesome.

Unless the job paid extremely well, I wouldn't live in Mississippi. Most of the deep south is depressing.

I think the CL is an unintentional rear droop. Or intentional. But in this case, unwanted

That's where I ordered mine. If you can tell us what cab type you have and if you're 2WD or 4WD, we can give better suggestions on which spring to choose.

Like, I have 4WD access cab. With the 2884, I'm expecting to get around 1.75" front lift, which should still leave me with a slight front rake which I like. But if you have a 2WD V6 access cab, you'll probably get closer to 2.5, which may have a small squat to the rear at first.

The only thing I know about Pascagoula is there's a berzerk squirrel and a First Self-Righteous Church there.

Oh crap, I forgot to mention this. Seeing where @bfunke 's location is reminded me.

Any of you South Carolina folks near Anderson or seen this truck?

I was driving to Flat Rock NC last Thursday on I-85. While heading northbound past Anderson SC, there was an earlier-model 1st Gen, painted the brightest yellow you've ever seen, with about a 6" lift, on 20"-22" wheels that had rubber band tires, and probably running 2"-3" spacers so it looked like a slightly squatted rollerskate.

I was super impressed with the paint job, it looked like a $6k-$10k job. But dammit if it wasn't the ugliest damn thing I've seen. I figured it must've been part of a club or something.

They were formerly known as "BilsteinLifts.com"

I'm not sure when they changed their name.

It looked somewhere in the ballpark of this, but I suck at photoshopping, and I don't remember if AC or RC.

It was probably more lifted than this. No decals, and the wheels were that deep dish sorta look, with really skinny mud tires, and maybe like 26" rims, the wheels hung out about 3"-6" from the body. And a little squat.

My first Gen is special edition, 1.33:1 scale. So what looks like 33/34, is really 39….

What size strap did you end up getting, I think @AZBoatHauler was in the same pickle you were with sizing

The bigger one, 2” and for 35+. I asked them about 33-34”. That’s what they said, and although 1 or 2 inch is not a strength concern, 1” would look like my standard tie downs. Anything over 32” use this one

Thanks to this link, I browsed the inventory... Nice schtuff up in there, but I think I'm gonna order this so when I steal the leaf springs from the silver truck for crackie... It won't have the ass squat. I don't have the old leaf springs anymore for the silver truck, and am planning on swapping crackies springs for those springs.

Doubling the work, but more than halfing the cost...

    Link

EDIT: A 2 inch block does raise the back end up two inches.... right? There isn't some sort of weird suspension geometry that I'm not aware of or some kind of fuckery that would make it all wonky???

Looks perfect. Kinda hard for a tie down company to screw these up. Surprisingly, I looked at inferior ones that were way more $. I think we have the same straps with different names on them.

Oh I got it bud, however, the part of that song that I believe you're trying to reference, isn't in the live video you posted. It's on the studio album (when he's talking to the girl at the beginning of the song, right?)

"Then to ask permission" I learned that quote from a boss of mine long ago. He didn't appreciate it so much when I used it on him. haha
Hey did you see an actual measurement on those? I couldn't find one on that ad. I need to get a set of 'longer than stock' as well. I think stock are 7" on my truck

I didn't, and given my time crunch... I'm going against my gut, and relying on Scamazons "vehicle fitment" thing at the top of the page....

It's all good I'm sure. Logic would say they're 2" longer, eh? duh. As far as fitment, not sure if they're different from 2wd to 4wd or AC to DC
