    Well, I don’t have two tundras but she doesn’t drive my Tacoma that much. Which I’m okay with, I’ve put in a lot more money in that than I have the tundra. I trust her completely with driving but if anything would ever happen I would much rather it be my fault than hers. She knows how much I love it and she would just feel awful if it was her fault. Maybe I just know the added weight of her dealing with it would weigh on me.

    Another major mod yesterday, black overlays for the silver on the steering wheel and chrome symbol. Now it matches the ones I put around the radio console previously. I like the look but it is noticeable when turning how it doesn't sit flush with the steering wheel at the bottom.

    I just did the OEM power tailgate lock install. All plug-n-play. It was an easy install. I took my time and it took about an hour.

    And I love the convenience! **This should be a standard factory install, especially on the Platinum & Limited ed.**

    No, it doesn’t add a feature for the gate to be monitored by the alarm (and I just tested it to make sure). The solenoid attaches to the existing lock mechanism and routes along the major wiring harness along the frame rail and integrates to the harness in the cab at the front passenger right footwell.

    The most time consuming part of the whole job was routing the harness above the existing harness. I raised my truck on those portable (10”-12”) ramps and was crawling around underneath like a lizard. It would have taken half the time if I had used a shop lift where I could walk under it.

    Correct. Cleaned with alcohol first. Sprayed 3 coats, reinstalled. 6 months going strong.
    Esit: those "two" spots come out as one piece after you get the trim and the gear shift knob off.
