Tony, the thermostat has the ports to connect the inlet and outlet hoses to. If you purchased a kit from me this will be included. If you are having a dealer do it, they will have all the parts needed to complete the install that’s included with the kit.

Ordered yesterday, now to patiently wait.
Thanks for continuing to put these kits together, wishing I'd ordered it months ago!
To anyone that's on the fence about buying/installing one of these, don't put it off any longer than you have to.

So disappointed in Toyota over this, as well as the flaming halogen headlight issue they seem to have forgotten about.

I've yet to receive any notification from Toyota, I have a 2021 Trail edition that came with halogen headlights. The dealer here tells me they've heard nothing about it, as of a month ago.

The remedy is out. Toyota said that the letters will go out in waves over the next several months as they have parts availability. The dealers don't really give a crap...they just want to sell a vehicle and move on to the next customer.

Figures, so typical of dealership bs. They can't even fix a skipping wiper here. Four blades later and still the drivers side skips above 55 mph. Guess I'll buy an arm, and see what that accomplishes.

After 10k in additions and mods, the truck is otherwise nearly perfect.

Weird, Toyota's recall page still shows "remedy not available", probably to limit extra inquiries about recall status while they rollout notifications.

I took apart a refurbished valve body after 60k of use. The transmission is made by AisinWarner, it has internal filter, plus I fitted an external magnetic Magnefine in cooler return line.

First, the magnet in the filter after 20k miles:
    5c31f9ds-1920.jpg

Quite a bit of soot left on the working gloves. The filtering media was free of visible dirt, the black chunks you see is plastic shavings left after halving the filter case with a saw.
    231f9ds-1920.jpg

A valve body has internal filters, two in this transmission. This is how much dirt they accumulated over 60k of additionally filtered life.

    N549W2lBcW_STawQQqxmdrgxydM-1920.jpg

According to my notes, in these 60k miles I've replaced ATF partially (50%) twice and one time a full drain&fill, which replaces about 83% of old ATF, so ATF was pretty clean all that time.

So, yes, it is beneficial to have an extra magnetic filter, even if it sits behind thermostat in a cooler line.

That was not Tundra. Cut a return line from transmission cooler.

It will be a good time for Magnefine when installing the transmission cooler kit. I'm planning doing it later to my '19.

I see that you are now offering a 20 row cooler kit for the 2019-2021 Tundra, in addition to the 15 row kit. I'm thinking for the extra $70 it might be good to upgrade my order if possible. Could you clarify any performance differences between the two?

@Genuine Cooling Systems I'd be interested in this as well. Would the 20 row be available sooner to ship than the 15? Also would either interfere with the supercharger low temp radiator mounting up front?

Ok the webpages answered my questions, but I'd still be interested in upgrading to the 20 row since I'll be supercharging and towing...in the mountains. Will shoot an email over

You’ll have a higher BTU rating with the 20-row (peak up to 50k BTU vs 39k on the 15-row). I’d recommend the 20-row if you tow near 8-10k pounds frequently as it will perform better.

No change in shipping speed. Right now Toyota has been backordered on a thermostat hose for the past couple months. Backordered kits may not be shipped until July or even August but I’m shipping orders out as they come in. Supply chain issues are crazy right now.

Cool, and even cooler. Would it be possible to change my order to the 20 row, and just pay the difference?

Same here. I only tow 7k at this time, but may be getting a bigger trailer in the near future. Figure the 20 row is a no-brainer...

My first tow this year after installing the cooler and the new trailer .
I used to average 215 on s4 and tow haul , now I average 190 with the heavier trailer. Attached collected data from trip

You may want a thicker ATF for towing this beast.

Curious, did you see cooler oil temps after the installation off the atf cooler? I just noticed the 30° difference you have there with engine oil temps. I did read that there is actually no engine oil temp sensor and the value is actually calculated some how but right now with no cooler my oil stays within a couple degrees of my atf.

Received my kit last week and planning to do the install next week. Feeling a little nervous about the install but I literally read all 1375 posts on this thread and am feeling more confident. I'm fairly handy so I am sure I'll be fine. I'll give myself a full free day so I can just take my time.

My next towing trip is in a few weeks so I'll be eager to see the temperature differences. I bought this for peace of mind so I can ease off of watching the ATF pan temps like a hawk and just enjoy the drive a bit more.

What are you guys using to watch atf temp? Towed the JK up to the mountains for the first time yesterday and while I didn't see any overheating, I was doing a lot of long uphill pulls in lower gears.
