IDK, my truck rolled into my folks garage and it just pushed the bumper up 1/2”. The doorframe of the garage was pushed in an inch or two from the hit.

i've seen what a deer can do to the plastic bumper trucks and 2nd gens. I was back on the road within half an hour after using a ratchet strap as a come along.

luckily i refused the damage multiplier brush guard the grandparents wanted to get me.

I get your reasoning, but no matter how much we are happy with it, plateau sounds a bit anti-climactic. Whereas… “. Pinnacle” And, Lol!, it’s got a vowel at the end. ;)

Every time I boot up my old work computer, it thinks it’s Jan 1st, 1980.

Complained to IT, so instead of replacing the CMOS battery, they gave me a new computer. Doesn’t surprise me.

    What does, is why 1980?

One way to track time is # of ms since XXXX where XXX is an arbitrary date. So that's effectively a binary 00000000000000000000000000000000

I just read up on some history and apparently the later vintage chevy novas were built by Toyota in the freemont plant which Tesla now owns. I didn't know that.

Yeah, I kind of figured that but I don’t understand why it would be 1980 as a reference point. Like what’s the significance of that year?

The computer was only built 6 years ago.

    This is a decent read.

"Let's pick one thing that's not going to overflow for a while."

That's for unix time. My assumption is that whoever did the firmware for that bios picked 1980 for yours.

Do they make lift shackles for our trucks?

When I rob the leaf springs from the silver truck I want to keep it from having the Carolina lean and not have to scramble to find longer u-bolts unless one of you all have some laying around that I can buy unless someone has a link to some that fit the stock leaf seat thing under the axle....

    Asking for me...

They do not, drop shackles only, because of the shackle placement.

Lol. I love that hood. Except when I’m off-roading, and can’t see over it. Then it sucks. But I do think it looks good, when I park the truck at the farthest corner of a city parking lot, where no one can accidentally scratch the inferno paint… when I look back at it numerous times while walking away.

I first wrote ‘dork’, but I’d have meant the definition for kids when we were in middle school— not what that *really means*. So I had to edit it to keep the chiding, lose the actual insult.

I likely have a 2nd gen in my future. Honestly, I could not tell you the difference between 2 and 2.5 on the street. I think it's 2013/14 cut. But, The built right ones all look good to me.

I've always appreciated how reflective and thoughtful you are. And I especially appreciate that you waited until the 2nd post to call me a dork.
