How is everyone protecting the sides of their tundras from door dings -other than parking away from everyone and everything??? Anyone tried side molding?

If you want to go the molding route there is this option. These can be painted if you don't like chrome. http://www.customautotrim.com/chrome-rocker-panels/make/toyota/

yep bank account is running low from it..
Side moldings will not protect against door dings. With so many different shapes and sizes and heights of doors out there it will not stop it. Most doors have sharp edge which the side molding will not stop like top back edge for example or a curve in the door it will not catch.

If you want to protect it from door dings park far away from the pack as you can. Tho you will always have some screwball even in the nose bleed section park beside you just to be a butt plug.

Only other thing is get some sliders that stick out some like 4 or 5 inchs from the body. That way you will be sure nothing hits the door. Sliders on my tacoma have proved over and over with that.

I have a co-worker who put on those chrome rocker panels on his 2005 Chevy. He thinks they are the bomb. I think they are good for covering up his rust. The panels are better than nothing (i'd rather go with nothing) if you can't afford sliders. Cheaper to park at the far end of the P lot. I personally wouldn't want the panels. Some like em. I have seen these same moldings cut to fit all the way up to the door handles across the whole door. Not my cup of tea. but "wonderful" for others.
